Maybe Laine could be on PP#2 ?
- HenryHockey

If you're trading for Laine, he's gotta be on PP1

So... a centre version of Kyle Connor whom can’t play well away from Gaudreau, and a 4-5 defenceman that never lived up to his potential? No thank you
- Rexypoo
In all fairness has Laine lived up to his potential? I mean dude can snipe but he is far from a complete player!

our top line put up points, yes, but got out scored by the other teams top line almost every game. the reason so many want more scoring out of our bottom 6 is because if Maurice refuses to break up our top line that's getting killed we need our bottom 6 to make up that difference.

how about we just mix the lines up better to create lines that can both produce offence while playing better defense.

id rather win more games 3-2, then lose more 6-5 but have more guys in the scoring leaders

again, change the dam coach

- Ross77

Oh I agree about Maurice, he's not a coach that's going to coach any team but one complete with All-stars to a championship but even then he'd probably stymie them with some crap systems.. Lol

Maybe there's enough talent in some of the bottom 6 pieces to be relatively productive while still being defensively responsible, I think there probably is if Maurice would just configure his lines properly.

For the record I'm not expecting a 3rd line of 50 point players, just a 3rd line that has some consistent 30-40 point guys on it and a 4th line of guys that are physical but can still play, it really shouldn't be that hard to come up with that with the way the middle class and veterans have been squeezed out by the salary cap.

I'm all for getting some bigger bodies on this team that are tough to play against and are defensively responsible but if they can't produce anything they're essentially dead weight.

Would a package of Mayfield, Cizikas, Bellows for Connor??
- Hell_Bent

Connor not going any place!

Aren't the Isles in "cap hell?" What about Cizikas and Pulock for Pionk (and either Niku or a draft choice)?

Would free up about $4mill (estimated) in salary for the Isles and give them a good offensive d-man, and give the Jets a talented d-man and a serviceable forward with only a year left in his contract.

A lot of the Jets possible moves have to be determined on what the situation is with Bryan Little. I'm guessing he will retire.

There’s been a few trades between Habs and Jets before. I wouldn’t be surprise if they landed Domi.
Habs have also a tons of picks this year which Jets has not.

I’m not sure about the return but Habs could either use an LD or RW

I'd send Philly a 3rd for Gostisbehere, might throw in another late round pick, that's about it.
- JetFuel

He would be a smart player to snipe at low value. He’s a legit top 4 dman who would run Pionk off PP1 to everyone’s benefit, including Pionk.

If you are looking for a big-time D that you could trade Laine, how about Eckman-Larsson ?

No. Steep decline for OEL the last couple years

Do they really need an LD? Mete is the future, Kulak is VERY good running with Petry, and they love Chairot.

May I offer you a Roslovic+ for your Domi?

So many unrealistic offers from some posters trying to steal Liane from the Jets. Both Laine and Ehlers are not going anywhere as trading them may plug one hole but open another. Just another scribe trying to create a trade that is not there. The Jets need to get a #2 play making center, 2 big, physical d-men and a coach that has faith in the draft and develop kids the Jets have that are NHL ready. Lets hope Jet fans will not be forced to watch Maurice play his usual collection of free agent 5th line forwards and 7/8 d-men.

we should play a game where we will all pick 1 random 4th line guy that has no business in the NHL but can somehow see the Jets bringing them in to compete ( handed) a 4th line role.

We already have enough center and Roslovic COULD develop in a legit 3rd center but that’s not what we need. If Domi goes, it’s because we had no place at Center for him.

I’m done with Mete, he’d Be better elsewhere tbh. Charriot was great, Kulak is a good 3rd pairing D, not a top 4 and we have Romanov coming up, maybe he’s the one that could land top 4 minutes but he’s a kiddo for now

You underestimate Kulak. Kulak is your 2nd best blue liner behind Petry.
But I’ll take him off your hands for Niku. I’ll take Mete for Niku, as well. Either way tbh

As for Roslovic, he’s a winger at this level. RW to be specific.

He’s an overall good 3rd pairing D. He doesn’t produce much but doesn’t do a lot of mistakes, so that’s fine. But we still need someone at left position that can rank up points like Weber and Petry.
And I’m not getting someone worse then Mete is hahah. At this point I’d just put Romanov in and try how he can plays.

He’s actually pretty good in every facet of his game. He doesn’t pile up points, but he keeps the puck moving the right way. I’d gladly take him on my 2nd pairing, even if he had to play on his offside to fit

May not meet your requirement of having no business in the NHL but my pick is Riley Sheahan because he can kill penalties

Can’t hurt to have another one. If Sheahan is half as good in his own end as Lowry and Copp, he’s a nice pickup
