I think Mete might get 2-2.5 depending on term.

I don't see it going over 2M and even then it's most likely a stretch. His stats and usage don't justify it.

At this point he's not even a lock to be a regular in the lineup next season.

Man, can't imagine how bad the teams were whose starters had less wins than andersen this season
- mr.peanut

Fun fact, Allen's save percentage was almost 0.018% better than Anderson's this past season. That's fun

not unusual for a team missing the playoffs

wait a minute...

- fidopro

Lets be honest, the Habs didnt really make the playoffs, they made it via this abomination of a playin round. They were very far out. That being said, sure they are a playoff team.

From my girlfriend's perspective she's taking a dump. From my perspective we're having good sex. Can't we both be right?

A lot worse defencemen got more. Not sure why its that far fetched if he signed for longer term.

I see your point but it's unlikely that the Habs do sign him long term right now.

Maybe, but it's rare for bottom-of-the-depth-chart players to sign longer contracts. 2 years, maybe 3, but I don't see him signing for longer.

chances are he won't make the top6 next year. I'd be very surprised if MB gives him 2.5M per.

he also kinda sucks. but whateves. its only one season. now if bergy re-signs him, then its a terrible move.
- Gramps28

Maybe he trades him with retained salary for a better return than what he paid... but I fawking doubt it, Bergy needed a goalie I guess... but again, with the AHL season far from a guarantee, I would have waited to make sure Primeau doesn't sit the year out

Well.

It's actually a very plausible scenario.

Depends if they can sign/trade for a better LD. Also if Kulak can keep playing like he did in the playoffs...he's pretty inconsistent. If he sucks, Mete will take his spot.

I'm pretty sure Kulak will go back to what he usually is. So yeah, I think Mete will be in there.

At this point Fleury might be ahead of Juulsen. We'll see at camp I guess.
