you're assuming Allen will be getting the same salary if he re-signs, which I doubt will happen...

He’d fit well in any team’s jersey and that’s why he’ll keep on wearing the Av’s

Got to admire the Avs, 2 wins on the brink of elimination with their 3rd string goalie...that is quite something. Hopefully Landeskog is ok to play game 7

well even if he does sign elsewhere, unless a team sees him as a true confirmed #1 goaltender I really doubt he gets 5M per as a backup goalie

I know you have 15M tied up in G position and need scoring.
Hoping for 1-0 wins has not been very successful for the Habs for a while.

Scoring will cost - Habs are not getting MacKinnon or Pastrnak contracts to fill the void - those were one-offs.

He had a 5 month break. Of course he was going to look good in those 10 games
- mr.peanut

I would need a 5 month break myself.

From you.

At this point Fleury might be ahead of Juulsen. We'll see at camp I guess.

If Domi and Petry goes to Pitts we may get Letang back

Pens blogs are stupid. There’s no way Habs trade Domi AND Petry for Letang unless more is added from them. I like Letang but he’s not what we need.

I’d trade Domi to either Wild or jets.

And btw I like this trade by the Habs. They just got one of the best second. With a rough and shorter year coming up, there’s probably going to have a lot of two games back to back and having Allen might solidify Habs position to goes up. Solid strategic for this year.
Yes 15m in net is way too much but it’s for a year only.

Exactly, and they had unused cap space anyway and I don't see them bringing in a big UFA

Maybe one UFA for cheap, like each year.

I still believe something is up between a Habs and AVS so we will see later.

Habs are not finished trading that’s for sure.

I liked him but I don’t think he’s really a solution. Probably a 7th D and 4th center (Thompson back?).

Others should be trades for bigger roles like a RW and a good LD

I’m done with Mete.

Well he can score goals and has good size, both of which we lack.

We have Mete, Kulak, Ouellet, Fleury fighting for that 7th spot already, don't think we need outside help.

4th line center Poehling and Evans. I think it's time to promote from whitin instead of going on the market for role players.

Molson supposly said that the reset was done and it’s time to compete.

I liked what I saw from Evans, could be used for 4th liner but we will see what Bergy does.

Fleury should be 3rd RD unless Julien doesn’t seem the fit (he didn’t even play playoff so...)
As for LD, I still believe we need a STRONG LD for top pairing which would put Charriot with Petry and Romanov with Fleury or UFA.

Not sure about Kulak...
Mete is a goner imo

What do you think the Habs will accomplish during that 1 year?

If it was to fill the gap for a year it could have been done way cheaper in terms of picks and $.

You don't need "one of the best second" goalies if it's just to give Price some rest during transition years and you don't plan on keeping that G.

We need a 4th D ideally for sure, but your original post said 7th D.

Make up your god damn mind

Well they can extend him if he does the job. I'm sure Allen knows he won't get that kind of money anymore, Halak makes 2,75
