It’s for only one year. Not a big issue cap-wise. They’ll get relieve the year after when Primeau steps in to fill the back-up roll. They can still make moves and trades involving picks and current roster players to make more cap room. It’s only just begun.

Not saying it is an issue about retaining your players in the Cap-Flattened season. But I surely wouldn't be impressed if my Devs made this move. I'd sooner take on a bad contract paired with a high pick/prospect, than give away a 3rd for a 15M tendy duo. I guess if you consider yourselves contenders, but I thought you were closer to the rebuild side of the curve.

From my girlfriend's perspective she's going over business expenses. From my perspective we're having good sex. Can't we both be right?
- Takemedrunkimhome

you would like to think so, but with a woman you are never right, only degrees of less wrong

I believe there’s a bit of pressure for MB to finally solidify this position once and for all if even just for a season. He’s failed over and over with Budaj, Montoya, Kinkaid and a couple others from within the organization. I think it’s a bit more complex than what’s on the surface. Obviously $15 million tied up in goaltending isn't ideal, but some kids made their mark this offseason and will help alleviate cap issues or concerns.

Habs want to make the playoffs. They needed a quality backup for that.

His cost has no impact for us and we already have alot of picks.

No one is considering this the move of the century but is it a good move by Bergevin? Absolutely.

I'm pretty sure Kulak will go back to what he usually is. So yeah, I think Mete will be in there.
- stinger67

kulak is perfectly fine being on the 3rd pair, if we need him on the 2nd pair again we are in trouble

Well then that’s a good reason right there... Allows blues to re-sign him and hurts Leafs chances to sign Petro.

Extended Danault and Mete for Laine and the rights to punch Beaulieu in the face 5 times.
- Scabeh

can you add a little more, and not just more punches
