You made very good points but lost all credibility when you said you’re enjoying this poopshow.

Almost every player has strengths and weaknesses. This team needs to find some high end talent. Not saying yes or no to Laine because cost to acquire is a real issue but we need help.

Appreciate the credit I once had. Haha, but I have enjoyed the rebuild and if you'll look at our current position, we are in the driver seat. Out two terrible contracts expire before any cap issues should come our way, and we have 2 young 1st overall centers, 24M cap space, 3 first rounders this draft, Smith/Foote/Walsh/Kuokkanen/Boqvist/Bahl all are great prospects, and Blackwood looks legit. Yes it has been a couple painful seasons, but we are getting to an exciting point right now, and inking a lazy sniper to a massive contract is not what any successful team has done. Palms scores 10 goals less than Laine every year, but he is a far better player and at a reasonable price. We absolutely need a 1LD, and 2RW right now, but Laine is a big no in my books. Tuch would be perfect. Age and currently on a fair long-term deal.

There are plenty of good players at the position we have in the draft, we were just sweating over position too much. Plus, with the flat cap coming up we have a lot of room to use the picks to make trades if they work in our favor. There is a lot of good that can come from this draft.

Hopefully better days ahead and they start at the draft.

I feel like in general this bubble has shown us just how valuable a good coach is.. And the culture of the room. No fans to energize you..just yourselves and your coach.

It's not good for us but I'm happy to see them doing well.

It shows that you can build a good team primarily thru the draft. Historically I've never liked the Canucks but these kids are impressive.

Listen Ross. I don't hate the guy. I hate the idea of him playing on this squad and making serious $$$$, because he isn't worth it. He certainly improved over the past season. His shot aside, he would have been a 3rd liner in the ECHL, now he has upgraded to a 3rd line AHL'er. I think there is a reason you want him moved from the Jets, and deep down we aren't so different. Love his shot, but he is a liability 80% of the time he is on the ice. Send Ehlers/Connor instead please. Maybe a swap of young talent could spark our clubs? Zacha for Niku? I think both have the abilities to do far more then they are with their current clubs.

Luke is projected to be a first round pick in 2021 nhl draft. It doesn’t matter where he plays this year, he will be drafted next year.

I think it’s a smart strategy to draft the youngest Hughes. Quinn is legit and if you think he wouldn’t force his way out of Vancouver to team with his 2 brothers... you’re dreaming! Draft him and in a few years you’re guaranteed Quinn! Im playing chess and they’re playing checkers people! Haha

am I the only one that thinks an extra day off before the Conference Finals wouldn't be the worst thing in the world? These guys have to be gassed giving 110% every other day + a few back to backs. Would it be such a crime to give them a day to rest and prepare? I feel like today's product suffered because of that. Kind of ridiculous. It's just 2 days..

Fun fact. Many people think the Sutter brothers collected the most total NHL points as a sibling set, because something like 7 of them played in the NHL. Nope, not the Staals, or Primeaus, or Sedins....... Gretzkys brother (Brent) played a 13 NHL games and paired with Wayne, they take the cake.
