He's staying, just as much as JJ is staying here. So it doesn't matter. - 668710
We can have a friendly wager on it then. I think he goes. He is from Toronto, they can offer him more cash up front, he can make more in promo $.
A pile of other teams will make pitches to him as well. I'm not saying its a no brainer but there are a number of compelling scenarios he could leave for. |

Billy G... is that you? Welcome!
Maybe the first idea with McCann, not Petterson.
Kaprizov would be cool but that is too much for a guy who has never played in NA.
Brodie is a UFA. |

Yea he has similar numbers to Panarin's years in the KHL. I didn't even know who he was haha. |

I mean theres still risk. He could be Panarin or he could be Gusev. Big difference there. |

The guy who had 44 points in 66 games with the devils? Think you mean Shipachyov. |

Kaprizov is actually the guy they wanted to move Zucker to clear a spot for. Widely considered one of the top 10 prospects in hockey. |

I mean he's also 23 years old already and depending on Guerin's view of Murray, a young franchise goaltender and a top 4 d-man isn't that far fetched.
To your point tho...really no reason for a team like the wild to trade any top prospects |

Yeah...I'm not saying Gusev is a bust. I'm just saying Gusev and Panarin had similar KHL numbers but one is a superstar in the NHL and the other is a good complimentary piece.
Point is probably moot for MIN to trade him but it's not a certainty he'd be a difference maker |

He just stayed in Russia, they've wanted him to come over for years. Like any prospect he may fail, but he's untouchable right now. |
