Kucherov falling to the 2nd was one of the dumbest things I've seen since Tarasenko going from a clear cut top-3 pick to (15th? 18th?). Kucherov killed it at every level in his draft year and broke records.

It was still a huge + to be big then.
NYR picked this bad bruiser instead of Tarasenko...

trading up to pick biggs was moronic, thats how I will frame it
- senstroll

It was stupid the moment it happened. It only got worse as the years went by.

Yeah.... big guys were popular back then.

Habs traded up to pick Tinordi at that draft.

Haha haha loser. The Leafs didn’t trade up and they got Kessel.

Bruins got Seguin at #2. Then Hamilton at #9 the next year...

Well at least we can rejoince at the thought they traded both players away afterwards.

And they lost both trades.

It's some what solace that the bruins blew it with those draft picks.

They got a 1st in the stacked 2015 draft for that museum-loving Hamilton! In fact, they had 3 in a row! Must’ve drafted at least one stud. Right? Right...?

40 mil on forwards, or 15 mil on goalies..whats better...lets find out
- senstroll

the 15 million on goalies would be for one year or less
We already know that so far 40m on forwards hasnt yielded great results

I have to correct you on this one. There was one concert, I have the program and ticket stub in perfect shape. The Dark Side of the Moon Tour. One of my first shows - at Maple Leaf Gardens. Music was amazing, a great version of careful with that axe Eugene. Pink Floyd by-passed Toronto on every other tour. Wish You were here was at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton, Animals was in Montreal and the Wall was only NY and LA.

Didn't Floyd start the wall tour in TO

The main goal here was the get a quality backup.

Him being expensive doesn't become an issue as long as the cap space is sufficent.

Habs still have plenty.

- Scabeh

There's plenty of quality backups that come at cheaper cap hits and cap space is always an issue unless you're a bottom feeder who doesn't plan on contending.

Maybe they can find a dance partner to flip him at the TDL if things go south.

Regardless, seems a bit silly to me.

They began that tour in LA and finished in London.

From what I remember, they recorded the live London shows but the footage was pretty brutal so an official video has never been released.

I agree, and if they can pay Alzner $4.625 for picking his nose, paying a decent backup $4.35 million is actually a good deal.
- winsix

lmao. Not to mention, not many players want to go to Mtl. That’s why they have so much cap space. Over payments required!!

$10.5M goalies don't get a team much further either.

Gives a chance for Price to get more rest while seeing what Allen can do.
Maybe could open the door to moving Price.

He has a NMC and is making a crazy amount for a long time. Unlikely
