I would've loved to see The Band play. - GreatGigInTheSky
Saw them with Dylan in ‘74 at the Forum in Montreal. It was amazing. As I remember it was Dylan and the Band together, then Dylan alone, then and then them together again. They were so (frank)ing good. I was really surprised at how good Dylan was. |

Love Animals. Almost impossible for me to pick between Darkside, Animals, and The Wall. They're all perfect.
But Darkside has two of my favourite songs. - GreatGigInTheSky
Wish You Were Here is right up there with those 3.
Deeper cut albums that I listen to quite often:
Obscured by Clouds - Easily the most underrated and underappreciated album they have. "Childhood's End" is proto-"Time".
Atom Heart Mother - Despite what Gilmour thinks of the title track it's (frank)ing awesome.
The Final Cut - A bit more of a difficult listen as Waters was in complete control at this point, but love it nonetheless. |

Do you trade a 1st and possibly more to get rid of Steen?
Or do you sell Parayko for some strong assets?
Seems like the two strongest options atm. |

Wouldn't mind for this thread to start looking at more realistic possibilities - Santo_44
I pretty much never thought Pietrangelo would actually happen. I'd of course love and welcome it but that's where it starts and ends. My laughy face at the end was showing I wasn't actually serious about it.
Ellis is the guy I've been hoping for for a long ass time now. Maybe it's also unrealistic, but I really don't care. I've wanted him on the Leafs for years. |

Love them all, Darkside is an obvious one but I also really like Meddle, Wish you were here, Atom Heart Mother, Saucerful of Secrets and Obscured by Clouds.

They could buy him out, and move someone else.

Pink Floyd isn’t Pink Floyd without Waters IMO - Garnie
Completely agreed. They're the Dave Gilmour Band without him.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy AMLoR and TDB/TER but they're just not the same beast without Roger.
The same could be said about Waters' solo stuff -- it lacks Gilmour's melodic influence and is, instead, all hard edges and too much angst/pretention. |

Defense has zero relation with goaltending
- James Tanner - Garnie
Tanner also said Quality of Competition doesn't matter. At the time Dion Phaneuf had the biggest QoC in the league.

Expansion draft. - AdamFrench
That doesnt make it a good trade. They could have signed a backup in FA or trade for another backup. It was a bad deal, JA sucks as well
The Blues needed to dump JA, and the Habs had to give them a 3rd round pick to help them out? So so bad |

Pink Floyd isn’t Pink Floyd without Waters IMO - Garnie
Waters was an exceptional writer, so I tend to agree. If you compare his solo stuff to that of Pink Floyd post Waters, and the Gilmour solos, I would think that Gilmour received far less credit for Pink Floyd than was due.

No, it isn't.
Waters is a real wiener but he was the creative genius there.
David Gilmour is my musical hero though

Oh, I do like Roger's solo stuff but it just doesn't quite reach the levels of Floyd post-Syd and pre-Waters quitting.
Saw Roger on his The Wall Live tour a few years back and it was outstanding! |

I pretty much love all of it but I'd say the top 3 are almost the same for everyone. Other albums are great, too, don't get me wrong, but those 3 are perfect in every way.
Only thing I dislike about Floyd is the (frank)ing drama between them. Just thinking about how much more amazing stuff we could've gotten from them equal part pisses me off and makes me so sad. |
