Hutch was absolute garbage in nearly every game he played for leafs this year. It wasn't a defense issue.

I Don't like Campbell as a guy that would need to start 35+ games in the tandem scenario. He's just not good enough to be a starter.

Murray is the best one but I think he’s made of glass. I’d go for Georgiev. RFA. Prob get on the cheap. Campbell is a good backup.

I think that’s what we’re going to see. Pick up a guy for Rielly and some pieces for 3rd and 4th lines. I don’t think he goes crazy on defence; Brodie type comes in.

The issue with Campbell isn't that he could be a good starter - it could be worth the risk.
His background of having difficulties to cope with adversity and 'failure' just seems to be a high risk in a market like Toronto.
It would be great if he could improve on that mental issue - but that's very difficult to measure.

I could see Dubas trading away Andersen (Carolina or Edm) and then trade for Georgiev or Korpisalo though to battle it out with Campbell.
I wouldn't be completely against that - given the capspace created - but don't think it's ideal
