he hasn't only been quiet this post season though. - Ftown19125
53 points in 69 games ending as a +7 is quiet? The team leader in points only has 8 more by the end of the season. The talent is still there it’s just putting the right pieces together we’re missing that legit #1 30 goal scorer. G has always been a playmaker and a majority of times thinks pass first. Which is fine but paired with a goal scorer I think he will show his talent to the level we know. |

Guys we are missing the point here. We do not need any 30-goal scorer from regular season in play off. Depth is our advantage and depth is what wins the cups.
The problem is we are not playing competitive hockey for 3 periods. We play 7-8 mins and then disappear. And that is the issue. Giroux cannot compete anymore on 5v5 plays. I do not expect him to play like Barzal, He did that for past 10 years, others need to step up, but he should not play on 1st line anymore. He should be in bottom 6 and utilized on PP.
We are lacking youth and speed. Unfortunately Lindblom and healthy Patrick are missing. And our 1st line looks like Alumni team playing NHL playoff hockey. It is embarrassing to watch sometimes and needs to be addressed in offseason. Couturier has still future, I hope.
They should ask for summer training advise from Joe Pavelski.

You still don’t understand. No worries. You told him to look at what bill wrote about why frost isn’t a viable candidate. You want ghost in and for reasons. Bill Had a write up of the type of player ghost is. And again. Hasn’t provided that offense.
Willing to shoot. Yes. Does he hit the net? How many are blocked? You say you don’t want to be in the defensive zone. So he can pass better but he gets muscles off the puck and can’t tie up players. He lost his role on this team. He did.
High scoring offensive teams that control the puck is what wins. Weird Tampa hasn’t won the last 5 years. I imagine Boston should win every year as well. Weird I know.
Well maybe your right. We won’t be defending as much bc after a goal it goes to center ice. Ghost can just look lost in the d zone. The game he had against Montreal was prob his best in a long time. Not saying much though. Also a driver of offense. His stats tell a different story. The offense needs to step up first.
But you have hope right. That’s been your story with ghost all year. I hope he does this. I think he is trending. He did this well but. He is a defender is a one trick pony almost. He is what he is. And that is not a first or second line defender anymore. Not sure he ever was. - Peter Richards
Obviously, you don't get and won't ever get the difference between wanting Gostisbehere in the lineup versus wanting Frost in the lineup. Nothing you posted here gives any indication that you will get it anytime soon.

Everything in this series is being over analyzed. It really is simple. Flyers have to stop turning the puck over in their own end, and their top players have to produce.
Majority of the turnovers have been unforced, they have time to make a high percentage safe play with the puck, and they panic/rush and turn the puck over constantly and it ends up in the back of their net a fair amount of the time. - PLindbergh31

That's not diplomatic dude.

Yes it is diplomatic. Instead of coming right out and saying that Giroux has been bad.

What defenseman could they add that might be able to improve that? |

There are two counteracting forces tonight. Teams that are down by 2-3 and dominated often come up with a token, face-saving win. On the other hand, the fact that they played such a desperation 2nd period and gave it their all and still lost means likely they are done.
I think they need to head into the 3rd at least 2-3 goals up to have a chance. - PT21
The Flyers have shown all year that they can hold a lead. If they're up a goal, heading into the 3rd, they have a good chance of winning.

The same Couturier who is just coming in to his prime and will most likely win the Selke trophy this year? I hope so too.

Clears passing stick handling quick decisions.
It’s like and basically is like the first 10 games of the season. Behind the back blind passes to who. The pass across the middle or outside to the player with speed but five feet in front of or behind. Or the amazing soft touch pass trying to thread three players. Next time. Rocket pass. |

What. When were we discussing wanting frost in the lineup? We weren’t. We are discussing why ghost should or should not be in the lineup. You used bill as a reference to someone else. I applied it to our conversation.
You want him in to help drive offense. I don’t as I think we would be in more trouble in our zone. Just different view points. |

LMAO, yes adding Frost was part of the conversation. Like I said, you just didn't get it and still don't. That was part of the conversation that you jumped into.

No. I think it is page 3 or so. You and I were discussing ghost. You replied to someone else using bills reasoning for frost not being ready. You said to that person they should read bills write up on why. I responded to that to you with the same response to why I don’t think ghost is worth it. A continuation of the conversation we were in. Sorry that was not clear to you. In these last comments were the only ones made in reference to frost. |

There's no need for me to look back. I know what the conversation is about. The issue you're having is that you want to isolate the conversation to just you. You insinuated that the reasoning for not playing Frost and to not play Gostisbehere are similar. They're not for the reasons given in the conversation. If you don't or can't get that, not my problem. I sleep just fine, thanks. How about you? |
