IMO, it wasn't soft, it was a hell of a shot. Right by the ears. - Tomahawk
Terribly played by Hart though. |

I felt like everyone put their foot off the gas. AV was throwing Couturier, Giroux and Voracek out there every other shift until they tied it. There was a push in waves until we were up 3-1. And they stopped...again. - SuperSchennBros
Coots was hurt in the 2nd and didn't return for the 3rd period.

Yes, I agree. The soft 2nd goal was a killer.
And how does Clutter(frank) get that pass across with 2 guys on him? He got it exactly where he wanted. They might as well not have been on him. - PT21
it all starts with trapping with a lead. It worked somewhat on Montreal because they are Montreal. It hasn't and will not work on islanders. Play your game and you will have success. Can't win playing in your own end. |

The shot had a lot of steam on it but an NHL goalie has to make that save from that distance.

(frank) this if we win this game I live in buffalo. Toronto is a 2 hour drive for me. I’ll make the trip and bash Thompson’s legs in just so we don’t have to see him anymore - SMS4016

Flyers don't trap. They go from a 2-1-2 to a 1-2-2 forecheck.

Seemed like Hart reacted a split second late. Wonder if Bee's stick changed its course. |

I've heard you wanna aim it there but I never get close unless the goalie has an ear on his chest. |

Thompson is good on faceoffs and good defensively. Exactly how you use a player like that. Haag is in the lineup supposedly for his defense but is a complete spectator on the play. - MJL
I do get he has to use him and I get he is for face offs. I don’t like their compete on face offs as a group. But AV has leaned on Thompson and got burned over and over. Coots being out I get it but last 4 I’d rather run with G, Hayes and Laughton in the D zone on the face off. Hagg has had a game to forget, bad pinches, passes and that blown coverage |

Flyers just don't look very good. Look damn bad in fact. Plenty of excuses, no doubt, but they're being outplayed by a mile. |

When they don't press on forecheck they sit back and allow the majority of play in their end and generate no shots or scoring chances it becomes a problem. Results in 2 and 3 goal leads being blown.
Call it what you want, you can't sit back on leads in the new NHL |

They showed the 3rd goal again. He had his stick there but he let it slide across under him.
Also, Voracek in beast mode. Problem is, it takes him so long to get the puck on his forehand when he is going around that he is never a scoring threat from over there, which limits his effectiveness. |
