Ehhhhhhhhhh i have a tough time giving up on someone that young with skill. I get he's not your prototypical 3rd line center but there's a chance he may become an effective center and we'll probably get crap in a trade for him anyways

BTD, if we trade him, then it’s imperative that we get a decent return, Strome does have talent and he’s young, I just don’t think he’s the right guy considering we currently have Dach and Toews up the middle.

It sounds fine in theory, but that never is really the case. I’ll look past the fact that they said his point total was down vs last year despite not mentioning there were fewer games played. I’ll also look past the fact they used a picture of Toews and Delia and captioned it Toews and Crawford. The reality is that any deal in the next two years is likely going to have to be close to equal dollars coming back. There is just no room to do otherwise. Add to that the fact that Toews would likely be the best player in the deal, and those deals rarely turn out well.

Big nope for me. The only decision in the Hawks future regarding Toews is do you resign him when the contract is up, and if so, how much?
