Canadian treasure. I bet Tony has a shrine to him
- mdw7413

Not MY treasure.
I was more of the Rush/Neil Young kind of treasurer. The only sort of "shrine" I ever had for Canadian band was for Triumph. Rik Emmett is a musical demi-god.

Fine bit of musical masturbation.
As you know, The Sadies are my favorite Canadian band, closely followed by the Dayglo Abortions.
Somehow missed Triumph, I'll have to put them on the list to check out.

Of course they would. An overrated defenseman that can move the puck but can't play defense fits their style perfectly.

My absolute favourite band as a tween/early teenager.
They had about an album a year from 1977 to 1987, with the biggest success being Thunder Seven in 1984.
I got in a huge fight with my mom because she wouldn't let me buy our neighbour's extra ticket and go to Toronto with him on that tour. I was 11!!! Can't imagine why she wouldn't have let me go.

How confident are you getting past Philly and then beating Tampa? I think you win tonight.(Which means you will lose)

They have a great playoff roster and I think they have a cup winning team. But TB and Vegas do too

I mean they just need to not lose one out of the next three games and they'll move on, so I'm pretty confident about that.

Isles played Tampa pretty well this year. They went 2-1 (won 5-1 and 5-2, lost 3-1) and held them to four goals across three games. That was the team I wanted to get out of the TBL/BOS series. Isles almost always get dominated by the Bruins for whatever reason.

That would, assuming they move past PHI, be the toughest test so far for the Isles. I'm not "confident" that they'll win the series but it would absolutely be something that's entirely possible. Especially if Kucherov is out long-term, which I'm hoping for because I hate that scum (frank).

I heard there is a chance that if Isles win tonight, they may just start the ECF in Toronto and not go to Edmonton yet

Yeah I saw that. It'd kinda be horsepoop to make the ECF teams just sit around and wait for the West to finish up. The rink in TOR will be wide open, no reason not to get that series going.

But I'm also a fan of the team that's been mostly healthy up to this point

Why are they going to Edmonton? Edmonton should come to Toronto. I don't want those 10pm start times for the Stanley cup

I had received some Christmas money from an aunt in 1984.

I went to the record store ( remember those? ) and had a choice of buying Thunder Seven or Judas Priest Screaming For Vengeance. I couldn't afford both but after a long internal debate, I went with the Hellion because the purchase included a free cool poster for my wall.

Always liked Rush better, but Triumph was a solid, yet under-rated band. Problem is though, listening to them today, the music didn't age very well. They sound very dated. Rush STILL ROCKS!

I get the logic behind it but having the next round start before all series are completed sounds wrong.
