Makes a lot of sense as there’s no center spot for him in Montreal. They’d probably want Montour+ (maybe a pick maybe a prospect).

A 2nd line of skinner, Domi and maybe Johannson (for defensive purposes) wouldn’t be bad.

Murphy played the highest percentage of any DE last year for buffalo (65% I think), he was always safe. Plus he came on really strong at the end of the season after really doing nothing the first 12 games
- turbo044

Well it's the cap hit, that money could help. And Addison will be starting this year, Murphy obviously will be in the rotation, and depending on if the Bill's make a move at CB or LB, he still could get cut.

They *should be able to upgrade the 2RW spot in some way, if they're able to grab Domi for that package, and drop MoJo down to line 3, where he belongs and should do well.

Craig Smith, I actually think a line of Kahun Cozens Mojo could work good together, they can all skate very well, and they can flip flop and take pressure off of Cozens.

Do we "know" what Montreal is looking for in return?
- Powerslave

Button said Dmen or ruff and tuff wingers. Probably Montour and a pick

Why would anyone pick up Fromm & put him on their 53man roster?
- jdfitz77

Plenty of teams are carrying 3 QBs due to pandemic concerns.

I think a team like the Bears, Vikings or Rams would have taken a shot on him. It was smart to keep 3

Would be smart ...

Agreed, depending on acquisition cost of course.
I would hope it to be a RhD, like Montour.

If they acquire him, or Monahan for that matter, they need to get a 200' RW if the plan is to pair him with Skinner.

Looks like he posts up in the exact spot our best player does as well..

If Holtz does end up being the selection I do truly wonder how that would work out.

Do they try and have all three of Eichel, Olofsson, Holtz on the ice together when the time comes ?

Does Eichel move to the strong side ?

Yeah as long as Cozens is not involved for Monahan

Well I just traded for Monahan, gave up a little bit but
Monohan for Montour, Mitts and 2021 1st unprotected. Probably to much.

Yes it is, IMO.
If they want that 2021 -1st, then I'd need their back.
If they say no to including that, then the 1st absolutely needs to be top 10 protected, and I would want their 2nd back in 2021.

Furthermore, I would be ok switching my sights on Domi and hope I need him only for 2 years...Montour and a B prospect should get that done...by their admission, Domi is a 3C or 4C so how much can they really demand?

In fact, I 'd prefer Domi in view of Acquisition cost, contract value, and term.

The big caveat in trading for Monahan is the massive hole Center he will leave Calgary in.

Domi isn’t a great player FYI. He’s not what you want.

He had 1 good 72 point season and fell back to earth to his year averages. And got benched then demoted to the 4th line wing

Got beat out at center by rookies / kids and cried about it

Domi is a loser

Domi averages 45 points
Monahan averages 63 points.

If you take out their career years

Yet Gerbe hates Monahan 😂😂

What would a 3 yr deal look like 3/6?

He's better than what they have now, would be a stop-gap for 2 years, would cost less to acquire and to sign.
Given the above, should we expect for him to be as good? No.
Can they land Monahan, probably not.

I wouldn't go 3, would much, much prefer 2 ... trade him TDL in 2nd year would be the plan, IMO.
Let him bet on himself...and hopefully he wins so they get a decent return.

Problem is that's he's UFA in 2 years. If you want him, you really need to be prepared for 4 years.
