He said Cozens shouldnt be untouchable because he traded Jerome Iginla to get Joe Nieuwendyk. He also pumped Domi's tires and said Calgary would need a haul for Monahan

I don't see how that make us any better.

From that article, Copp is solid and underrated defensively. And that line looks better than having mojo in the middle.

Danault is actually a center. Which is a positive.

I don’t know much about Fast but Hommie like him.

As for the defense, I guess a top pair guy for Dahlin and Dunn at 2Ld. The author backs it up with the fancy stats.

He admittedly thinks the 4th line is suspect and the goalies are the weakest link.

He also leaves $9 mill in room on the cap for joker and Dahlin next year.

I think it puts pieces in a better position to succeed than what we currently have.

Fast had 20 goals TOTAL in the last 2 seasons playing over 60 games in each. He has no business playing with Eichel over Reinhart. Waste of money and time.

A top 3 Center core of Eichel, Danault, and Copp is light years better than anything they've had in a long time.

Pairing Dunn with Jokiharju is smart as they could receive more neutral zone starts. Dunn has been deployed in mostly offensive zone starts, and Jokiharju can help him defensively.

I don't think Monahan is worth 'a haul' but I also think he's more valuable to Calgary than he is in a vacuum.

Domi is a peculiar care. Is he a better C or LW? I've seen both cases argued. Is he 18-19 Domi or 19-20 Domi? What does he need around him to succeed?

His best year by far was at wing. He's an average center. We'd push him down the lineup the moment he could and he's gonna command a 6-7 mil cap hit, and that's being conservative.
