I traded Hutton, rights to Laurence Pilut and Okposo for Jack Johnson, Bjugstad and Murray in the Penguins thread.
Nothing retained on Okposo.
New trash for old trash. This trash is cheaper and 2 of them end sooner |

Yup.
I'd pretty much guarantee the Mojo contract would be the winning bid for either of them - jcragcrumple
I wonder if we trade him |

His calling is Koivu I see him in the NHL for a very long time and he will win a couple Selke trophies
I just want a guy with a higher calling but hes gonna be good
His week ponit I could see him as Jordan Staal - GERBE!!!75PTS
agreed
100 percent
a third line of him, kahun and fast would be a really good 2 way line |

I interpreted the original question to be Lundell in his prime. |

I'm serious. I'm losing nothing of value and decreasing my worst contract from $6m to 3.25 at the same length. The others are 1 year deals.
It's nothing but a win |

Kesler in his prime for the younger people

One NHL player in that entire deal is useful, and that is Okposo.
None of the rest are.
You would need to literally scratch Johnson every game, he is that bad.
It would be the same as having an additional $3.25M in bonus overages for the next 3 seasons, and no player to show for it.
Horrible. |

So waive JJ for the $1.1m cap savings. $2.6 dead cap leaves you $3.4 in savings to find a more useful forward than Okposo. I just replaced Okposo with Soderberg without eating into the Sabres existing cap and lost nothing. Soderberg and Bjugstad for the year. It's fine |

Do u see Lundell as a 2C or a 3C ? - jdfitz77
I would hope Cozens develops into a 2C and therefore Lundel, if selected would be a 3C.with 2C potential ...meaning he becomes trade bait in say 4 or 5 years if he pushes for 2C and Cozens is just too good to push out. |

Cozens and Lundell can be 2A/2B
Then you say goodbye to Skinner, Olofsson, Reinhart, Kahun in a few years and just continue to rotate cheaper wingers.
Avs gave up a 2nd, 3rd, and a 4th for Burakovsky and Namnitsnikov. I’m sure Buffalo could do that too eventually. |

I would rather that than giving up 8th OA for Monahan as long as the dollars and term are not outrageous - Pegullaville
Yup, I would not be trading 8-OA.
Unless the 1st 11 picks are off the board at 8...lol! |

I think what youre really asking is whether this trade approaches anything remotely connected to what will happen in reality, to which I would say: of course not. |
