Guy pissed off a lot of people, wouldn't surprise me if Ek finally said enough was enough

His last blog got locked down at only 27 comments. Definitely off the rails!

Also this is why I don't think it matters when people say "we need a player from (insert country) to bring over so and so."

I mean with Panarin and Shesty and Buch, he should feel pretty comfortable.

Right now, not clear. Other reports are that - per his agent - he can still be recalled by New York at any time. I think the real answer is that we won't know anything until the 2020-21 season starts.

New blog up this evening at some point, heading to NJ to see my parents for the day.

I have no info but I don't think it's any big deal. Traktor supposedly isn't that good so they probably aren't making a deep playoff run. It would really only be 2 or 3 months that he'd miss. He'll probably be available for 30-50 games for the Rangers. The Front office probably figured there's no reason to haggle over the extra few months. Plus, after Lias, they probably just want the guy playing and in a good frame of mind.

To me it’s not even a matter of skill vs grit, the usual North American vs European player argument. We’ve used a lot of very high picks lately on Europeans, and the transition to North American hockey, as well as just simply having the option to go back to Europe if things aren’t working out well is getting a little old.

We’ve got Kakko, Chytil, Kravstov, Andersson, Lundkvist, Henriksson, Lindbom all first or second round picks since 2017.

It’s enough for a little while.

Well if he can still be recalled if the Rangers want then its no big deal. If the Rangers dont recall him when the season starts again, then there is a problem

I might have seen that, but I don’t remember
I did a brief stint following them in my youth, but the first time I saw them without the psychic lubrication of hallucinogens, it was all over. The music could be pretty painful.

I just got a sous vide and a blow torch, Im making prime rib steak today.

Haven't had steak cooked that way but have heard great reviews. Not a fan of cooking anything in plastic though. Also got rid of the irradiator 15 years ago since we never used it, terrible texture.

Sorry if this was talked about, I was away for a few days and haven’t caught up with the blog .....Friedman is linking Jacques Martin to the NYR defensive coaching position. Martin has a track record of building defensive structures that are better than the sum of their parts. Could be a great hire

Yes. If the rumor is true, this would be a great addition to the coaching staff and should be a vast improvement defensively over Lindy Ruff.

Forget slightly. Put it under the flat of the knife and give it a medium-light hammer fist! Then take 2 seconds to pull out the skin.
