Music festival in Quebec City is OFF the Hook. Saw Metallica with 125000 people so much fun.

I don’t care who the band is, I would never enjoy seeing a show with 124,999 other humans.

That is a lot. Used to go see Lollapalooza when they rebooted it to where it was a weekend in Chicago vs a touring show.

First year was great. The second too spread out and crowded. The third even more crowded. Went to see one band the 4th year (Love and Rockets) and if they weren't there that year I wouldn't have gone.

Yes, but the people in the back row couldn't hear a damn thing.

After the show, neither could the people in the front row.

I prefer small venues myself. The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville is about as good as it gets IMO.

More locally, the Pabst Theatre in Milwaukee is also outstanding.

Yeah...I was at Woodstock, found the car four days after and it was wet muddy and we heard things into the night but I would be lying if I told you I actually could recognize any one on stage from the distance we were away from it...when things were over we went to the stage area so we could see it. I know that sound weird, but it was all about having a visual memory. Honestly had no idea where we ditched the car and we wrote it down. The disorientation after the festival wasn't chem al related, it just seemed foreign when there was so much non crowded country after. We were lucky it WAS still there. I started to feel a bit of panic it was towed by Lincoln Towing back to the Chicago or that it was towed and no one would have any idea where afterward.
The biggest most profound memory after realizing we weren't the only ones who were going, was the fact we were wet crowed and tired and the arinstopped it was late at night, and all of a sudden, it sounded like angels were singing...osmeone we never heard and IT WAS SO GOOD!, We were wtf who is this? It was Suite Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby Stills Nash (and Neil Young) and it just was so surprising worth going....how much we change! Now I dont know a band past 1972, my oldest daughter is a singing house music DJ, and my next planned activity is hunker down and watch all the LetterKenny episodes on HULU...

Sounds like Danault is slightly disgruntled in MON. One for one with Strome!

Although, the reason he is disgruntled is because he thinks he is only being used in a checking role and not for offense... What the heck. We don't play defense at all, so he should be good.

well, they said as much that he would be relegated to that role behind the big Finn Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Suzuki.

remember how the hawks were taken Kotkaniemi to lunch at the combine...makes you wonder if the Habs hadn't taken him, would the hawks have taken him instead of Boqvist kept Jokjharju and NOT drafted Dach since they had a big centre?

Yeah, Hawks can get danault back...and use him as the 3rd line defensive centre...because I dont believe Jonathan Toews is ready to settle into the 3rd line checking role just yet....

Ive been to many concerts in my life and i have to say that was one of the best crowds ever. No one pushed or shoved everyone was polite and the place emptied with an order that ive not seen at many other shows. Rammstein at the same venue was unreal.

Agree. Locally it's Old Town School and Fitzgeralds for me.

If I had to choose between having Kotkaniemi and Jokiharju versis Boqvist and Dach - pretty easy choice IMO. Happy the way things turned out.

Never been to those. Have been to great shows at the Vic, Metro, Double Door and Cubby Bear in Chicago.

All great venues, also love Park West.

The Pabst in Milwaukee is amazing. Great little theatre (think Chicago Theatre but half the size) with an underground parking garage. Park the car, take an elevator and exit into the theatre’s main lobby. Can’t beat it...especially in the winter,

The Park West is a great theater. Wish I'd seen better bands there but the venue was great.

Idk about House of Blues being great but saw a great show there. The Cult was the headliner and they played on a second stage about 20 feet away from me and eventual Mrs. D (poor woman). They were doing their "Love Live" tour.

Was outstanding.

I hear that, i went to a baseball venue thought i had good enough seats and they still sucked. I could always stand outside the baseball venue and have the same result.

I wouldn't say that. I never saw a ton of old bands (I did get a good chunk of concerts in my 25 years,) but older bands/musicians fill up my entire ipod library. I know Crosby, Stills, Nash & eventually when Neil Young joined.

Bergevin and the Habs love their French-Canadians so I would be willing to deal Beaudin and other assets for Danault.

Then have Danault deployed as a hybrid defensive center who can also drive offense from a top 3 line and play in high-stakes situations.

This would of course necessitate moving Strome which would be really easy to swallow if Danault is coming back to Chicago.

Nylander - Dach - Kane
DeBrincat - Toews - Kubalik
Saad - Danault - Suter

The LWs are interchangeable.

With that as an example, assuming Kane's line is really Line 1, then you have a 2a and 2b for the middle lines.

Really? Bummer. Had heard he and Crazy Horse were good live but unfortunately I never saw him/them.

Anything you'd attribute it to or just overall disappointing?

One of the worst shows I ever saw was the Cars at Poplar Creek. I think they would have been good in a bar or a place like the Metro but they were way past that stage of their carer when I saw them.

Still love the first two studio albums but they were pretty lifeless in concert. No energy, no crowd acknowledgment and I may have this wrong but not sure they even did any encores...may have been an unintended mercy.

Played 75 mins and left. RIP Ben Orr and Ric O...

Not my personal testimony, but I had a professor from Minny. He saw Bob Dylan & said he was the biggest Richard alive. Played with his back to the audience the entire time.

Philip Myers who just scored the winning goal for the Flyers showed nothing in two season with Rouyn-Noranda in the QMH and was on my 2015 draft board as a7th rounder. (He wasn't given and PP time.)
In year three that need in 2016, he blossomed with 45 points (17 goals) in 63 games.
He was invited to the Flyers rookie camp, impressed and they signed his that September.
If he had not signed, in all likelihood, he would have been a first rounder in the 2016 Draft.
