Now that is a level - headed response.

If only everyone acknowledged this, the world would be a much better place.

Everything lately has been way to one-sided.

I think if both sides could see and understand each other’s point of view it would definitely go a long way in helping bridge the gap.

Unfortunately I think it is unlikely.

Systemic racism reaches farther then just cop on black violence.

There are bad apples in every race, shape, or form.

That’s a terrible act of violence and that man should go away for life in prison.

I see a correlation between the rise of people using social media and giving a platform for everyone to have a voice to the amount of articles containing systemic racism.

I’m a white male. I’m not going to pretend to understand what it’s like to be a male/female of colour.

I’m not going to sit around and pretend though that being born white has not allowed me to escape prejudice and give me advantages that some of my other brothers and sisters do not have.

What would have happened to Ed Oliver if he was not a member of the Buffalo Bills nor had the money or status to get out of those fraudulent DWI charges ?

Yeah, I wasn't sure it was that close based on a couple reports a few weeks ago that Hauschka was doing well.

The rookie wins. The #Bills have released Stephen Hauschka. Tyler Bass is the kicker in Buffalo.

The team also release P Lachlan Edwards

If/When the Sabres draft well, and have multiple guys on team friendly deals, they then can afford bloated contracts. Right now we can't because that space isn't a luxury for us
- sbroads24

They currently have $9m + $6m +$5.4m in bloated contracts.... Soon to add ~$7m more

This and if people would understand redlining and other issues.

A City Divided:
A Brief History of
Segregation in Buffalo

Redlining restricted the flow of capital in and out of minority neighborhoods
as restrictive covenants and other forms of housing discrimination kept
minorities from moving into white neighborhoods. Lack of access to loans
made it much more difficult for African Americans to buy homes, open
businesses, build wealth, and, if they chose, to move to other
neighborhoods.21 Many neighborhoods entered a downward spiral of
disinvestment, in which few people would invest in the neighborhood
because its property values were declining rather than rising.

https://ppgbuffalo.org/fi...n_the_city_of_buffalo.pdf

This is part of a system, it wasn't/isn't just words and police killings it is actions that squelch wealth opportunities which also lowers tax money that flows to neighborhoods/cities schools which is the root of communities' health.

The pegulas are nice people?? Have you paid any attention to anything lately? Lol

Fired botts / 20 employees. Didn’t replace them

Fired Adams a gm puppet with no gm experience.

Hired a very cheap AHL coach

Bills marketing team quit

Chris brown fired or suspended

Harbor center boards are a mess / facility sucks. 716 food is gross

Sabres need to be economically viable

The pegulas told employees about the family wanting to maintain the pegula lifestyle

All bills and Sabres alumni. Cut them off

Ralph and Chris Taylor hadn’t talked since October. - clear communication issue

Kim is a clueless president for everything they own

The arena is in shambles and completely out of date

Didn’t want to pay ROR bonus and made us take a garage trade with the blues

Anyone else. I’m sure I’m missing something

- Sabretooth9

You are, but you are on a roll, so get it off your chest, lol!

Ask about them to those who have dealings with them. The ones I have asked, they all say nice people.but incompetent

I don’t disagree sir.

I don’t think the postponing of games tonight really does much at all in the grand scheme of things.

However, I do believe that there are issues with systemic racism across the world and we do need to take this seriously.

Is it possible to have a middle ground ?

I have no problem with middle ground.

I don't pretend on knowing how to achieve it, but being force-fed BLM constantly isn't the way.

At the very least it’s getting people talking about it. It is generating awareness

Isn’t the old saying “there is no such thing as bad publicity” ?

Do I agree it’s the right way to go about it ? No. But at the end of the day what can we do about it.

In a year of peak f*cking stupid things this is on top of mount Everest of peak stupid things.

So you're going to punish the NHL(right after the covid work stoppage, as if that wasn't damaging enough), all the people that put on incredible amount of effort into making the bubble work, the tv networks, the sponsors and the fans for something unrelated to all those things.

Way to go guys. You showed us(them?)? Meanwhile I'm on unemployment at $504 a week before taxes, my ac, hot water tank and washing machine all crapped out this month and into my savings. I have no sympathy for these millionaire, hypocrite babies.

Edit: Human rights? You wear uniforms and apparel made by children in inhumane conditions halfway across the globe that the league charges 10 fold for. But I guess there is only 1 issue allowed.

Good thing that the covid will go away in the warm weather and that masks deprive people of oxygen.

Here we go. Bulldog saying he is embarrassed that the NHL played games last night. Guess I'll be turning this show off too.

Hey pro athletes, let me give you a nickel's worth of free advice. You want to make a difference? You want to bring joy to the country and fans? Play the (frank)in game you get paid obscene amounts of money to play. Soon as your check gets cut, you'll be back playing. (frank)in strawmen.

- Hatboro_Swords

So genius, if the players of today made 1970s wages like they describe in any old timers autobiography, meaning they got paid Jack poop, they could protest?

Where in the US constitution does it say rich athletes can’t be upset by things? Only poor people can?

Why can’t athletes use their positions to decry racial injustice? Just because you have your head up your ass, doesn’t mean everyone else does.

The NBA, NFL, MLB and in solidarity NHL are making a statement we aren't going to entertain and beat each other up at the country's amusement, many white racists males who respect Black athletes but could give a crap about their fellow Black Americans. It is a statement of social justice.

They aren't going to be our gladiators in our coliseums while their fellow Blacks get killed unjustly on our streets with many of you supporting the deaths and our president not saying a GD word or moving to do anything about it and it may force him now to say something.

4 people killed by cops in the UK last year, over 1,000 in the US.

It would look a lot less like grandstanding, which is exactly what this is. The only thing that is going to come out of this is that the players are getting an extra couple of paid days off, nothing more.
