Please stop posting stuff like this on Hockeybuzz. It is not appropriate. Your comments are repeatedly mixed with political undertones, nor are you an expert on the subject. Even though you repeatedly try and pass yourself off as one. There is a playoff game tonight.

I also agree with this statement. Just knock it off guy.

I 2nd this. Stick to hockey. Not everything has to be politicized. We win our first playoff series in 8 years and we have this poop being argued over.

Yes, Braun has a lot of money in the bank. Start Gostisbehere with Braun.

I have a gentle piece of advice for you, which really should not even be need to be said, so obvious is it.

The piece has already been posted. I posted it with good intentions at heart, but I understand you may not like it, and many others will not either.

Fair enough. I understand.

Now think about how you can limit the damage. By arguing with the poster about the damage already done by your estimation, or by ignoring it.

Anyway, I am done here.

Harmless fun, no damage done
I was out and about for the laughter
Thought I was some-thing
Really something no one was gonna touch
Ace in the place, kingpin of sin I didn't know too much

Habs and a couple other playoff teams have a couple of nifty deflection plays. I believe Boston is also one of those teams. Now that’s something I wish the Flyers would add to their Repertoire.

Thanks Bill. Woot. Second round. Going to need to kick it into another gear to get by the isles. I like that a lot of folks are picking the isles. Not sure if we’re an underdog but I’d say that people are giving it 50 50 odds. That’s fair. I see more scoring this round but no idea if that will work ojt for us.

Running into a lot of habs fans around and the first thing they say to me is omg your team isn’t that good and you’re lucky to have gotten by us. I’m telling them, thanks. Your team is lucky that they were granted a spot in the playoffs with a 1 percent chance at a playoff spot.

That seems to change the conversation to Hart is great and his idol is price did you know?? Haha. I love habs fans really I do.

In looking at the Islanders schedule results, I am struck with how many good teams they beat or had good records against.

They were
3-0 against us, of course
1-1-1 against the Bruins
2-0-1 against the Pens
2-1-1 against Tampa
1-1 against Vegas
1-0-1 against the Blues.
1-1-0 against the Avs

And interestingly, 0-2 against the Habs!

I kinda like the Habs fans, actually. Their board has a great blogger, and lot of idiosyncratic characters around. Plus, I have seen several games over the years in the Bell Centre, and that place has tremendous character, and I adore the city.

Wow. Didn’t realize that. Tough. Opponent. Be interesting to see if not have that 3rd d of price back there will help us at all. I think hart is playing better than when he faced the isles in reg season.

That's what I mean. People are thinking this is a weak team that just has gotten hot. They played 2 games less than us, and had 6 less wins.

The biggest difference is they did not have as hot a streak as us in 2020. And they beat us during that hot streak, btw.

All of those things are correct. I do find some of them are a bit condescending around these parts. Most quite knowledgeable though. I’m biased. I became a flyers fan partially because they beat the habs on 87 playoffs.

City tremendous. Rink amazing. I had someone spit on my hextall jersey at the bell centre as the flyers were killing them ( they did that a lot in the 90s). I also went to see a game there with my grandmother who has passed now. I was wearing my hextall jersey and she was wearing lindros. Some clown walked by and said, lindros sucks. My 80 ur old nana said you suck!! Love the passion but some of their fans are Richards. Haha.

Also. God bless nana! What a firecracker. She’s praying for the flyers In Heaven.

I feel this one is a coin flip. May go 7 but I think we can win it. Now to beat Boston? Maybe not ready yet if we get through.

If we are putting stock in the regular season the Islanders wouldn't have qualified for the playoffs at the time the season was stopped, they were 12th in GPG in the Eastern Conference.

Ha.

I once went to see a game in MSG when Lindros played for Rangers. I wore a 88 jersey (orange, of course). I thought that would be kinda neutral since he was on their side now. I went with my wife.

We had good seats at the lower level. Throughout the game they insulted both of us. These (frank)wits who looked like they are tough guys for the day, like investment banker gym warrior types.

On our way back to Philly, it was really hot that day, and we were on the New jersey Transit. Lots of Rangers fans traveling locally. I went to look for a cooler seat, my wife was looking out of the window, and we stuck the tix stubs on the seats.

When I came back, they were gone. I asked the group of guys there (it was pretty rowdy) if someone had taken the tix. They all smirked and giggled.

Man, was I mad. The tix conductor was a jerk too. Threatend to make us get off, as we happened to have no cash in our pockets.

Moral: this happens everywhere really. I have had nothing but good vibes from Habs fans at the Bell. But then, I have not worn my Lindros jersey.

Sure, sure, what I mean is, they are capable of beating good teams, and not much has changed regarding that. They destroyed the Caps. It should have been 4-0, really.

Hahah great story. I know that it happens everywhere. I do love Montreal but boy do I love beating their team. There’s a lot of history and everyone here is a habs bruins or leafs fan ( god bless their souls).

Went to Boston with my wife one year. She got on line for beer and I went to the heads. Came back and she said one tall angy bruins fan got up in her face and yelled. You guys (frank)ing suck. She tried to ignore them but was not pleased. No need of that. I tell you, I love nothing more than being at the wfc. Watching a game as it’s my Mecca and I’ve been lucky to see quite a few. I don’t treat anyone like that don’t spit etc. Respect between hockey fans is my mantra.

Flyers complete comeback in game 7.
Down 3-0 in the series and down 3-0 in game 7 .....
JVR's deflection goal ignited the comeback .... Hartsy's goal, Danny B's goal and Gags off the post and in for the 4-3 win.

Also have to consider Laviolette's timeout where he turned purple '' where's the F'in JAM .... JAM JAM ''

They are playing well, I have a feeling the Caps were checked out before that series started, but that would be unfair to how well the Islanders played.
