They have scored 11 goals in 7 games since the round robin concluded. Outside of a few players no one is scoring. They are desperate for offense. I'd consider dressing Frost for game 2. - PLindbergh31
Whats with the sudden Frost infatuation? He is not playing for the 1st time in a playoff series when they are down, for goodness sake.
The guy I see the most disinterested is Niskanen. He makes a lazy stick check on Barzal and gets beaten clean. The forwards are caught way too deep, btw. TK is actually behind the Isles net when the play starts going the other way. |

I think we’re agreeing...???
My argument is to play to scores. I don’t have high hopes for Joel Farabee, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Connor Bunnaman to carry us, two of which bottom six rookies. - SuperSchennBros
Yes, I think we are agreeing. Vigneault has no choice but to play Giroux, Couturier, and Konecny. They are the teams best players. They have had secondary scoring from Hayes, and Voracek. These are the 5 players that need to produce. If they don't they have zero chance. |

Well at least now, you're headed in the right direction. The forwards lost their forechecking structure on the play. Still wrong about Niskanen.

On another note....just read what Mike Milbury said that created the controversy....are you f in kidding me ? You can’t even say that ? And he apologized...wow. I don’t like him ....but that’s rediculous. |

At least Frost is a playmaker. He's got some creativity in his game. Flyers are desperate for it. What good is dressing a player like Bunnaman? He's going to provide zero. |

He did not play well tonight. Ghost absolutely has major issues deep in the dzone under pressure.
I’m no way did I suggest that Haag can play with the puck as well as Ghost.
Ghost just from memory had three major giveaways in the dzone causing the flyers to get caved in.
There was one in the third an isles player was pressuring Ghost. He had room to skate from behind the goal line. He shot the puck along the boards to a waiting isles player.
The flyers then hemmed in the flyers for over a minute.
Haag isn’t good with the puck but he has the ability to eat the puck and wait for help on a board battle.
I’d rather see Giroux, Couturier, and TK get with the program and at least play a solid game.
Couturier was terrible this game. - bird_dog_pa
Ghost’s first shift was not very good. I saw him forcing pucks to the net but outside of that, I’ve seen worst from him. |

I wouldn’t mind seeing him inserted at some point...might give an offensive jolt like he did when he first got called up....

I'm sure he will play in game 2, but JVR has zero points in 6 playoff games. If he's not scoring he's basically an empty uniform. He's streaky and can get hot. Play him in game 2 over Grant or Thompson. |

Bunnaman did not play, did he?
And different roles. Who is Frost going to create chemistry with? You see give and goes with Nate?
I think this is the wrong time to experiment. Keep Ghost. And move Laughton back. I would bring JVR back and put him on the 2nd or 3rd line. There was a lot more space for forwards this game than in the Habs series. |

I don’t care how “stupid” I sound. If you posted 40 plus point this season and score roughly 20 goals and were good enough to play every night in the regular season, you are good enough to play in the playoffs. |

Play him with skill! Put him on the empty And gaping hole that is the power play.
To me this is ridiculous because by December, he’ll back to his regular role. |

You're crazy if you think that Gostisbehere didn't play well tonight. You're jsut dead wrong. The Flyers generated the most shot attempts with Gostisbehere on the ice. He had another strong game. How many goals was Gostisbehere on the ice for? - MJL
No I don’t think had a very good game.
Sanheim needs to be better as well.
I’m not blaming this loss on Ghost by any means. |

I know you're not blaming the loss on him but saying he didn't have a good game is just not accurate.

Last time I will bring this up tonight. It’s painfully obvious that some guys conditioned themselves during the pause and others did not. There was so much uncertainty about if they would come back that it’s hard to blame guys. But it’s showing right now.
Everyone is dealing with these conditions right now. And this series is a LONG way from over. But before the pause this team had a work ethic second to none, was always the better conditioned team, and virtually unbeatable at home. Sucks to think what could have been. On to the here and now, they will bounce back in Game 2.
You ladies and gentlemen have a good night. Go Flyers. |

Well, that was a very inspired effort. 200 ft game - what's that? Keep the 4th line intact - at least I enjoy watching them. |

The second period was October level hockey? - PT21
yes, thats what you get in october, one good period with little closing.the effort is there, but the timing is a hair off. would you say hayes' breakaway was peak season form?

as for the power play, its not even at october level play yet. i'd describe that as early camp level. |
