The flyers can play with the isles. The problem is the flyers best players again are no shows. I don’t think Giroux’s and Couturier’s heads and hearts are in this.
Far to many lackadaisical plays by both.
There isn’t much more AV can do with the lineup.
I think we see Haag back in.
Grant probably out and Bunnaman in.

Love the majority of our players but we need guys who will outmuscle whoever they are up again. Weber did it by himself. Now the Islanders fourth line is doing it.
I actually like Thompson so I won’t bash him but Derek Grant. What a bland, offers nothing player. He was on a roll when we traded for him. He was having a nice season. Season stops, four or five months goes by and he’s back to being exactly what he was. |

I’m not sure what adjustments you can make when coots and g don’t show up.....a few games ...ok...but they have now played 10 -11 games and both have really not played well. If they miss their babies....fine go home. (frank). - landros 2
This seems to be the consensus opinion here, but I disagree. I disagree they were invisible.
What is the most concerning is that even after relentless pressure, they could not break through. |

Laughton too. - arichardson22
With the exception of maybe Voracek, every single veteran key player on this team has been underwhelming. They beat the Habs simply because they weren't that good. The Isles team is much better. Equal to if not better defensively and far better offensively. The Flyers anemic offense is not going to be enough to beat the Isles if they don't improve. It was obvious in the Montreal series. It's obvious now.

I add teeks to that list. Nice that you’re trying this last game but you’re not getting it done. Hayes coots g and teeks. They don’t show up, and this ones over. - Hextall271

The PP is so hard to watch. I couldn’t hate their breakout more. It takes them less time entering the zone at 5 on 5. |

I think that would be a mistake. I think Ghost is a risky proposition but in this kind of a game, the upside outweighs the downsides.
I would actually stick with the lineup and substitute Farabee for Laughton. |

I’m not singling him out just adding him to the long list as you mentioned yourself. Don’t disagree with anything you’re saying. Not pleases with this team right now. Very frustrating to watch. |

Well it takes relentless pressure for more that one period to break through. That's what is most concerning. What don't you get? Do it for 3 periods, play a complete game and see what happens. I should review every comment you've made during the Montreal series and before this game and compare to the statements I made. See who is on target and who isn't.

These guys are paid to score...they aren’t ...they aren’t really getting many quality chances....some but not many. I guess I’m just not seeing what you are. You can’t show up every third or fourth shift. |

When Giroux, Konecny, and Couturier have combined for zero goals in 11 playoff games, Grant really is the least of their problems. |

We'll see. There is no reason to play Haag over Gostisbehere.

So at what point do we blame the coaching staff? I know Bill will name Alain Vigneault’s resume but I don’t give a poop. We had five potential 20 goal scorers, not including Voracek. Play all of them and play them in a position that works to their strengths. |

He certainly wasn't the problem tonight. I really want Ghost to make a difference, but you could say that about a majority of the team.
Play a full 60 next game and they should win. |

Let’s keep hoping we get Ghost’s upside. He is what he is at this point in his career. Inconsistent, he doesn’t handle pressure deep in the dzone well at all.
Haag at least can win board battles. He’s no worse than Ghost with dzone clears under pressure.
Provorov jumps into play way more than Ghost does. |
