He’s the exact player that plays well in the regular season, but come playoff time when you need him to take a hit to make a play he shys away. Hard pass.

Leetch was also able to defense with and without the puck. Played in every situation
- nyrangers2

Don't get me wrong, I loved Leetch, he is my all-time favorite Ranger. I'm saying that Beuk was a D first anchor that allowed Leetch some leeway to be more offensive.

I want ADA to work harder on the defensive end of his game. Points are nice, but stopping points against is really nice.

Sports and politics have walked hand in hand for centuries. Politics have been, are, and will continue to be part of sports, for the players, and the for the fans. Deal with it.

This thing with TDA isn’t about maturity. He’s an idiot. You don’t outgrow stupidity.

Ok stupids. Have fun insulting me.

Jan, when you bring ADA's political beliefs up and call them TOXIC, it thoroughly disgusts me. If you don't share his views, at least have the integrity to respect them. I'm sure you want others to respect your views without calling them TOXIC.
- trueblue1

I didn't say his beliefs are toxic, I said his support of those beliefs makes him somewhat toxic, the reference being to how he is perceived and viewed and how team management may view him. In addition, earlier in the blog I wrote: "DeAngelo obviously has the right to believe what he wants, however, when the expression of his beliefs become or are viewed as becoming a problem, that's what it impacts the team and management."

I was attempting to be balanced in the column and didn't once state that he didn't have a right to those views. But his proclamnatins of those views has not always been well received or expressed well, which has caused issues.

Story of my life.

So how worried are you that Tony D was only successful because of Lindy Ruff’s amazing coaching???

Baahhh!!!

Sorry. Can’t do it with a straight face.

Nice draft pick you guys got there...just saying.

Ryan Mcdonagh played particularly terrible last night for Tampa and then left game early with injury

One of the Sportsnet guys on twitter said that the Canadiens need a new French Canadian star and would love to get Lafreniere and would be willing to trade Kotkaniemi.

I responded saying I want Kotkotkaniemi, Caufield, Romanov, the 16th overall pick, two of the Canadiens three 2nd rounders in 2020 and Montreal’s first rounder in 2021 (unprotected).

For that package, I’d give the first overall and Brendan Smith

How come no one is coming out sayin Lebron should just shut up and play basketball? Remember when the Fox News host said that and got DESTROYED bc of it? Double standard. I personally don’t think athletes should be brining politics into sports. Sports were always a way for everyone to get away from politics. Regardless of what side of the debate you were on, you went to a sports event and no one could give a poop, you talked sports at a sporting event. Now you can’t walk into the stadium or sit next to a stranger without knowing exactly how they feel about every current event. It’s ridiculous.
- nyrangers9479

Because LeBron James is the best player in his sport. He wins championships. He's pure money on the court.

And he doesn't have a history of being an bumhole on and off the ice. That's the real problem with Tony. Take the political views out of it and he's still viewed as kind of an bumhole because of his behaviour.
