I'd be shocked if he landed here. Maybe one of Ottawa's picks are in play.

If he does, Lemieux is going to have to let Domi (frank) his sister

I dont see Kreider as a guy that can move to the right

he's such a north-south player

to me, if Panarin doesn't move to the right, then maybe Lafreniere does

or Kreider becomes a 3rd line left wing and they all stay at left wing

- jimbro83

Panarin wont be effective on the right side just like Ovi wasnt. Him being a righty on the left side is to be able to be pointed at the net or to open your shoulder and make the pass easier.

Need to pump the brakes on Laf going right to the top line!
How about we bring him along a bit more slowly with Chytil on the 3rd line?

Kreider - Zib - Buch
Panarin - Center - Kakko
Laf - Chytil - Gauthier
Lemieux - Howden - Rueschhoff

- TommyGTrain

I would not want LAF on the third line with Chytil, Chytil has a hard enough time carrying his own weight, the last thing I want is Chytil trying to carry the weight of the 1st overall pick.

I mean come on, the dude is one of the 10 most talented hockey players in the world. I think he could make it work if needed

Making it work and him playing at an 11m per year caliber are likely not the same.

How often has a guy switched sides and produced at the same clip?

Did you consider that Lafreniere would raise the game of Chytil?

I could also see Rangers going after Poeling from the Habs. Maybe Gauthier straight up? Rangers like those one for one prospect trades

Then were gonna think that Chytil is good, and then LAF moves up to the 1st/2nd line....

I don’t see the rangers moving Laf up at all like they did with Kakko. 3rd line all year, moving up once in awhile. It’ll piss us off, but not sure it would be any different. Although he is a little older then Kakko was by opening night, so it’s possible

Rangers should trade TDA now while hot to Toronto for Kapanen! The deal makes sense for both sides! Toronto needs a player like TDA and the Rangers need Kapanen a Fin to help bring along Kakko. Kapanen has 3.2M for 2 more years! This means we can trade Strome and not have to pay him 5.5 to 6M per for the next 4 or 5 years! This deal should get done without question! We have plenty of D coming through our system with Miller and Niles both and we do not need TDA, what we get back will help our offence a great deal! We would have 3 very strong lines!!!

I don't believe Kapanen plays Center so it wouldn't offset Strome

100% agree, they’re not moving Panarin off the left side, that would completely disrupt what makes him so dangerous.

The organization has a wealth of talent from which to package for either a 2nd line center, or even probably more important some size and grit for the 3rd line.

Well if Panarin doesn’t go to right wing, then Kreider is that size and grit on the 3rd line

I would love for Panarin and Lafreniere to play together at some point though. I mean look at what Panarin did for Strome’s game. Imagine what he could do with this talented of a kid?

Do we know for sure the kid has not played the off wing? Don’t know if that would be a good idea to move him if he hasn’t. Certainly, not in his 1st year.

Separate Kreider Zib and Panarin. Same way I said to separate Zib and Panarin, now separate all 3. Matchup nightmares and gives all 3 lines some veteran presence.

Panarin Domi Kakko
Buch Zib Laf
Kreider Chytil Fast (if we can fit him)
Lemeuix Frederic Gauthier

4 lines that all have established roles/identities

Bah. They already have 900 guys battling for the 3rd and 4th lines and no matter what it says on the internet the organization likes Brett Howden a lot
