I love EK trying to throw the "EK's a homer" crowd off the scent with this

"#1 Montreal?
This series is still dead even and if not for Carter Hart its probably 3-1 Montreal going into tonight. The Flyers scorers are not scoring and until they start to the Canadiens are EVERY bit in this series....A win tonight by Montreal and EVERYTHING changes..."

We're going to find out he's a grand wizard in the KKK and you are going to tell us we are intolerant of his beliefs.

KIDDING.

He is gone, if anyone will take him. Otherwise he's going to linger in Sweden until his contract expires. We have no room for him and it seems like he's worn out his welcome

To me, the whole thing with Tony D is that he needs to prioritize. He has every right to have his opinions AND to voice them if he wants.
But, if his priority is to make millions of dollars playing hockey for the NY Rangers, then he should stop doing things that MAY make them want to move on from him. All his choice.

Honestly, I can't find anything he's said other then a few months ago. He's not doing "it" to often

He needs to actually provide some proof that he wants to play in the NHL again. If that happens maybe he gets traded.

But until then I don’t see anything happening with him. He could very well just want to remain in Europe for years.

I feel like Ho Sang has had a lot more attitude stuff to worry teams about than Andersson

Fortunately, no one from that draft taken after Andersson is doing anything in NHL, at least anybody that was considered a top prospect at the time. I'm sure there are a few mid round picks playing

The silver lining is outside of Suzuki and Necas, who have had moderate NHL success, there wasnt anyone drafted between Andersson and Chytil that we should be kicking ourselves about missing out on

Yeah, those two look pretty good.

I wanted Middlestsdt, but he's doing nothing

Back to Fast and hockey talk ... I have a rough unproven theory that GMs & Arbitrators give out about 1 mill-1.5 million for every 10 points scored. If you have "intangibles" you'll be closer to 1.5 ... if no intangibles closer to 1 mill for every 10 points

So being Fast is a 25-28 point player on average over 6 seasons with clear defensive intangibles ... he should get somewhere around 2.5 - 4 million per year. He'll likely get somewhere between 3-3.5 and that would be a fair contract.

By Comparison.. Kreider has been a 45 point player over 7 seasons and got 6.5 million. His range should've been 4.5 million - 6.75. I'm assuming his intangibles were his size, speed, strength and ability to speak Russian (our star players being Panarin and Igor) make him a rarity in the league. so he got closer to the top of his range. More so than what Fast brings to the team by league standards (there are plenty of defensive experts with good work ethic).... but he's "our homegrown" defensive expert with good work ethic... so he should be re-signed! haha

Passing on Middlestadt and Vilardi were the biggest reasons why it was so controversial at the time to pick Lias

middlestadt would be better to have but he has really struggled. And Vilardi has had serious serious back problems that fans would have lost their mind over if we had taken him, but he seems to have gotten healthy enough for now.

I really thought Eeli Tolvanen was going to be a sleeper pick that everyone regretted passing over. Same with Vesalainen. But they were both after Chytil

The real problem with Mittelstadt is his ridiculously spelled last name. No place for that on our team

Vilardi still has to prove he can be durable enough for the NHL.

He's anti BLM, let's stop pretending this organization is genuine to the name, it's a radical left organization using the phrase as protection, I know y'all realize this, common sense can't be that far out of grasp.
