these are blow out "no chance" numbers

Shot attempts: 305-202
Shots on goal: 158-96
Scoring chances: 151-88
High-danger chances: 62-32
Goals: 13-8

People can shower Vegas with praise all day.

They are a good team. They aren’t a great team. Hawks lost what? 3, 1 games. Legit 1 goal games.

I’ll be floored if they come out of the west and floored if they win the cup. I just don’t see it.

But because of Crawford -and because “it’s hockey, baby” - no blow outs.

I think the Colorado Phoenix numbers are just as bad.

Vegas is the real deal. How do you not see it? They’ve already made it to one SCF, and their current roster is arguably even better than that one was. They have no weakness.

Hawks had their chances and with minimal
Luck it’s 3-2 at worst Vegas right now.

Next round they’ll have their hands full.

And all these stats are all well and good but the truth is playoff hockey is largely reliant on goalies stemming stretches when a team gets dominated.

the hawks expected him in rck all year...then they lost 2-3 dmen...WTF and they had to play him...i still think in 2-3 years he is going to be a good one...
- bogiedoc

Agree, 100%.

Boqvist was never going to be the saviour to turn the franchise around himself. He’s still a kid, pair him up with a more defensively focused partner on the 3rd pairing next season and let him continue developing.

When the team gets a new president anything will be possible. I think both Stan and JC stay, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one or both are gone.

Clearly they are better than the Hawks but I don't see the Knights winning 3 more best of 7 series either. In fact, I'd like to see the Blues give them a good physical pounding for 7 games. And I don't want Lehner back with Chicago either.

Good effort buy the boy's Crow way to play .If that was Saad last game it was a good one . Coach Q must have something on J.C. how was 47 even on the ice .awful coaching decision added nothing . Dach was outstanding and has real promise .Now we can look forward to Askarov falling to us at 15 or 16th pick.
That's it for me will not be watching any or much of this sham tournament and it Peewee league format .Terrible ice lousy atmosphere .Not Stanley Cup worthy IMO
See ya around the Draft table #Askarov ..

Arizona, Columbus, Carolina and Washington are all down 3-1. It’s not like the Hawks are the only team getting outplayed. Expectations for all of these teams are higher than the Hawks too.

So is stl, Colorado and evening Vancouver who the Canadian press is starting to compare to the 2008-09 hawks.

Philly Boston Tampa also there.

IMO there is no clear cut favorite.

Vegas dominated an older d corps and a young kid and a team with virtually zero size upfront. Hawks weren’t built for the playoffs and rightfully so back in feb/March this wasn’t even a possibility.

Fascinating off season for bowman.

Crawford
Do you keep saad?
How much are you willing to pay a Caggiula, strome and kubalik as rfas?

That’s before you look outside the organization to improve with a flat cap.

Don’t envy bowmans position.

Totally agree. There are so many possibilities for the Hawks.

The Maatta situation is an interesting one. He was one of the better Hawks d-men. I still think he’s gone, but he may have played himself into a trade instead of a buyout.

The Blues decided to wake up, probably because Berube threatened to beat the crap out of every player on his roster if they didn't.

I wouldn't bet a nickel on the Canucks beating that team in a 2 out of 3.

100% agreed. See how they handle a blues team, assuming they get through a best of 3 vs Vancouver.

Then they can light a candle vs what Edmonton wishes what they were in Colorado.

Agreed on lehner. They don’t have the cap room so with that said....I’m sure he comes back. Lol.

Didn’t Rocky say the new President was not going to be a hockey retread? I think hockey ops decisions are going to be made by Danny/Rocky.

I’d keep maata over DeHaan. DeHaan can’t stay healthy and looked like horse $hit way too
Much. Disappointed how bad he was. Bigger guy and he played scared a ton. Only thing he could do was ring a dump in around from the red line.

Murphy IMO stepped up. He was great.

As frustrating as this series was - it’s been good to have these 2 + weeks of Blackhawk hockey - and good to have lots of hockey left even without the Blackhawks.
