Don’t you find it interesting how each one of our d-men realistically had average to below average statistics for long stretches at a time however as a team we defended in top 10 in the league ?

I attribute that to coaching and the LOG line.

If you’re simple remedy is to find a Center that scores more points but gives up more goals I struggle to find the net impact.

The Sabres will be more entertaining but still suck and miss the playoffs.

We need to continue to defend well and score more goals.

Just ask Washington, Toronto, Florida, and the Rangers. All teams can score in the uppper percentile in the league yet are getting taken to school by the likes of Columbus, NYI, and Carolina.

Now Carolina is getting beaten by a Bruins team that happens to defend better then they do and essentially play the same game at a higher level.

Hear me out-

Let's get two centers who can play at both ends of the rink

Montour and Risto were not good.

Miller was not good for the first half of the year.

Dahlin, Joker, McCabe I didn’t have an issue with.

Tampa Bay has constructed really the ideal roster.

They can score in the upper percentile in the league and can defend just as well.

The biggest difference this year against Columbus from when they got swept last year is that Vasilesky isn’t choking. He allowed 8 more goals than expected last year.

As long as Vasilesky doesn’t kill them they should go the distance.

I guess there is bias involved though on my end since I picked Tampa to beat Vegas in the final this year in my bracket.

I always hated these. They're always high, seemingly, and have some that just don't make sense.

Who is giving 31yr old Dadanov a 6yr 7m per contract?

Max Domi is playing 4th line minutes right now but he's going to be making 8+?

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark, says I.

I’m no Sam hater, but if that’s what he’s getting from Buf, in the “open market” he’s hitting the 4 1st rounders coming back territory for OS. In that case bye.

I’m saying if that’s the Buf “price” it would likely be higher in the open market. Pushing it beyond that territory

That's right, but you're calculating AAV wrong. That deal would be 12.6m, for comp purposes.

Don't have to take my word for it:

https://www.capfriendly.com/offer-sheet-calculator

"The AAV for an offer sheet, which determines the compensation required, is derived by dividing the total contract value amount by the lesser of:
number of years offered, or
five (5) years"

Apparently all the fans hate him want to move on from him so they could sign Kubalík to a long term deal
