I would take Stalock, the guy could be a decent 1b to Ullmark, plus he only makes 750,000 a year.

Younger lol and good on d
- gerbe75pts

Good on D, sure, but we're trying to add a 2C, not a 3C. Jordan has put up fewer than 30 points the last two seasons, and he costs $6M against the cap through 2023. You can pay a younger Larsson 1/3 that for great D and only 10-fewer points.

Eric is $3.25M for next year, only, and he might still be better at 35 than Jordan has ever been or will be.

Why did you bring up Larsson .... :/

I dont want a 36 year old for the 2nd line center

Because you said it would be better for the Sabres to acquire Jordan than Eric, and Jordan is basically an older Johan Larsson with 3x the cap hit.

EDIT: Saw your edit. I also would prefer not having a 36-year-old 2C, but it would only be for one year, and he is still quite productive. But the point remains that Jordan is not a better target than Eric for 2C.

aside from the vezina year

4 third place votes in 07

for the hart, aside from vezina year
a 5th place vote in 10-11, probably a homer vote

2 5th place votes in 06-07, probably a homer vote in there
a 4th place vote in 05-06, probably same homer vote

I am only talking about recent production. If Jordan is going to return to being a 45ish point player at ages 32-35, then the Larsson comparison doesn't hold up. But right now he's a 27ish point, defensive 3C who costs $6M until he's 34/35.

Yes age is important the body breaks down and you get tired very easy ..

Cool let's say we trade for staal and by game 50 he's done and we're in trouble going into the playoffs

Jack will be pissed that he has to do everything again
