I love the fact that per nhl Stanley cup name engraving rules if you play 41 regular season games or 1 game in final you get your name on the cup if you win. Tuukka... played exactly 41 games! If bruins win he goes down in history as a cup winner for this year! Gotta love it.

You also get credit for sitting as the backup in that scenario.

Well, without him in regular season Bruins might have been a "play-in" team - who knows...

This

As for nobody can judge I call BS. I’ll judge him. No health concerns so I call BS. Entitled millionaire that is known to be a flake & head case.

‘Feels like an exhibition game’

It ain’t though. Cop out.
He struggled being away from his family.
Oh cry me a river. Regular ppl sacrifice many things just to pay the bills & put food on the table in these times. Boohoo.

Management should say NO COMMENT.

There is bonus money for winning a post season award such as the Conn Smythe but other than that, no playoff bonuses.

Nothing wrong with him wanting to go home.

Cutting up the playoffs on his way out? Richard move and a classic Rask move. Have a little class fella

He has the right to not want to play.

It was him cutting up the playoffs. It’s almost as if he was angry that his peers don’t feel the same way as him so he had to say that to make himself feel better about leaving.

I don’t like his decision but I respect it, that said the Bruins have to trade him now:

I'm not a fan of when he decided to leave - but - in what way is it a "classic Rask move"? What exactly is a "classic Rask move"?

A classic Rask move normally happens during the spring. It involves the time honored tradition of punting the Leafs from the playoffs. Some know it as "the falling of the Leafs." Others call it "first round guarantee."

That is a extenuating circumstance that I was not aware of that does not happen in a normal year.

When he slashes his stick on an object in anger of his teammates making a mistake.

He’s tried to fix himself, but him cutting up the playoffs before he leaves just shows me he still has zero class.

I thought article 28.1 of the CBA had a pool of money (supposed to be $17M for this season) to be divided up amonst playoff players.

That's classic Rask? WTF? As if no Goaltender in history has shown a temper.
Thought it was Marchand that had no class. Or was it Chara? I'm confused.
Leafs and Vancouver fans have a hate-on for Bruins because we've stymied your goal for a SC.

But this is a pretty weak attempt at trolling.

Don't see any mention of CUP in shore's post.
Just the part about punting Leafs from the playoffs.

I've always wanted any other goalie than Rask.
We should have won 3 cups since '11.
1 the year before.
I'm delighted, and wish him the best.
He deserves to have his name on the cup this year as well, if they can pull it off.
Happy days, shack. Happy days.

I don’t know what the stats are but it seems like North American born goalies win the vast majority of Cups.

I can’t cheer for the Bruins because... well they’re the Bruins.
Everyone is saying the right thing about Rask leaving but I doubt if that’s how they really feel. It leaves them with a backup who hasn’t played an nhl game.

Whatever one may think of Rask's decision or his reasons, this is probably the end of the Rask era in Boston. The clock is ticking on this roster's core to win another Cup.
