Good. I imagine this season being a rude awakening for him. We'll see what he can do with a little more NHL-level strength. This extended offseason is so valuable for younger players.

No idea when we are going to have a draft or even another Devils game. Outside of Walsh signing an ELC and speculating what number our 3rd 1st round pick will be there’s very little Devil news I’ve seen.

Have they definitely said that October 9th dan 10th are set in stone? I've also seen that they hoped to start next years season by December, but also said that they didn't have any plans for logistics once hockey has to be played outside of the bubble locations they are playing in now.

All of the dates are tentative obviously but they have had this plan for the past few months and are still on track for it. The latest the cup finals can end is October 4th, the draft is October 9-10th, free agency on October 12th, training camps on November 17th, and the start of the season December 1st. Maybe the season start date still gets pushed back but its pretty set in stone thats when the draft will be since it'll be an online/virtual draft. So there'd be no reason to delay it or push it back further outside of like technical difficulties

I would say starting by December is pretty much a lock. Can’t have the ‘gimmick’ game’ (aka winter classic) on Jan 1 if it doesn’t. The powers that be will make it happen. Follow the dollars!

Smith-Sanderson COULD be a solid top pair in a few years, IF they end up being top pair players. We would finally have a top pair, and a pair to build with moving forward.
Bahl-Severson could be a good 2nd pair. If if if.
Butcher-Walsh.. if.

Do you take the forward at 7 and hope to land Schneider or Guhle with AZ's pick? Or do you take Sanderson at 7 (or trade down 2 spots?) and hope to land a decent winger the with AZ/Van picks?

I can't decide. Ifs everywhere. Just want to see what happens already. We'll be picking top 10 again next year, so we don't have to fix everything this year. Just take best player.. or potential player available.
