And Montreal had chances too. Especially that would be 2 on 0. What I posted isn't nonsense. - Pelle31Forever
How often do you see a player fall on a 2-0 and not even record a shot on net. It should've been a sure goal. |

That was far from a sure goal, lehkonen coming from all the way over on the wall and Ben chariot with a guy coming down on him. |

Rask just quit the Bruins. Milbury better call him Euro-Trash. |

I would think this means the end of him in Boston. You don't just walk out on your teammates during the playoffs. I would think he wouldn't be welcome in their room again. |

Did Montreal play one for the Gipper? Let’s see what Coach Mueller and the team bring next game. - Tee56
The Flyers have their own gipper. It's 23 year old Oscar Lindblom. Who just beat cancer. If I was a player I'd have a tough time looking him in the face after yesterdays poopshow. Getting beat is one thing, not competing and going through the motions is inexcusable. |

Yea for sure, obviously if something happened with his family it’s understandable but this is coming from the guy two days ago that said it feels like an exhibition game, sounds like he quit on the team. |

Somewhat disappointing that the only quote we're getting is from Hayes, whose comments don't really engender a ton of faith. I was hoping for words like "embarrassing" "unacceptable" "100% not Flyer hockey"...whatever. The comment "pucks didn't go our way tonight" is laughable.
The effort has to be questioned. Maybe not the physical effort, what Hayes is probably referring to, but, the mental/psychological effort has to be part of that too. I get that in 2020, we're not going to have some sort of brawl to "send a message" however, there had to be something someone could have done to stop the bleeding and push some sort of momentum in a different direction (timeout, big hit, public speech on the bench, dominating shift, something).
Giroux has been invisible in Toronto. Where is this vaunted leadership that "hates to lose" as we're told so much.
Final rant...I watched up until third period on the national broadcast. Turn on JJ and the first comment is his complimenting the Flyers on "approaching the Canadiens on shots." Please. Can he please respect the fanbase a bit more? The obvious pandering to the transparent sycophantic fandom is annoying. When the product on the ice is a piece of garbage, please just accept that JJ and don't try to put lipstick on a pig. |

I kind of agree with him that the intensity of the games doesn’t seem up to par with normal playoffs games but leaving the team is inexcusable. He’ll get boo’d off the the ice whenever the B’s are able to play in Boston again. |

Loud boos haha, idk I feel like the intensity has been there, the fans going nuts after every hit goal obviously adds to it. Clear difference between RR and the games that matter. It’s been high paced and fun to watch imo |

Habs fan....they played their most insane game in like 20 years....they were on fire yesterday.....not sure what sparked it, but the younger players seemed refreshed and a rushing Mete can only mean they felt some confidence playing for Muller....game 3 should be interesting...AV's stupid comments about Muller and the putrid Habs powerplay at the end of the game nonwithstanding.... |

Jackson is the worst. Time to move on him from. It's a nails on the chalkboard broadcast with him.

Exactly, potentially pregnancy chatter, if he knew going in he should have made the decision then. Can’t commit and then back out that’s selfish. |

Statement for Bruins GM Don Sweeney.
Sweeney says nothing specific happened with Tuukka’s family, they are all safe and well. He said Tuukka was just struggling being away and in this environment.
So yeah, he essentially quit the team. That is pathetic. |

Timing is weird. If you really wanted to be with your family you wouldn't have left in the first place. He knew what he was getting into. |
