apparently there have been "talks" about changing the OT format in the playoffs toi avoid multiple OTs, going to 4 on 4 for the 2nd OT or whatever, but I doubt the players or the league would agree to it... personally I wouldn't do any changes either, for the rare occasions games do last 5 OTs it's just fun to watch (or not if you're tired lol) when it happens

i guess i understand where they're coming from but it definitely is part of the charm of the sport that a playoff game just may go all night.

I wish international tournaments would stop using the shootout, it makes sense during the regular season but when the outcome actually has an importance I find it sucks

I dunno about ties though, doesn't feel satisfying...didn't they get rid of them because teams were too often just settling for the tie? unless you give 3 points for a regulation win but still I'd rather have one of the teams actually win every time

winning against Edm did. 16 or 17 is where they pick pending what the habs do
