I'm also expecting this, and habs players most probably will too. they'll need to weather the storm, stay focused and not take dumb penalties

no. reality is setting in and they're coming back down to earth a bit. like i said before, scott laughton wasn't going to provide the goal scoring for very long. i would like to see them come out looking ready to play a game of hockey for 3 20 minute periods of time but nothing so far has really led me to believe they will. they're kind of just getting what they deserve for the effort they're giving and the decisions they're making.

taking a look at the flyers thread, I get the feeling flyers fans have bipolar tendencies, kinda like habs fans (may to a lesser degree, because some habs fans get pretty intense lol...) I'm sure you'll think differently if your fly boys do give a decent effort.

i don't really look at that thread so i don't know what they're saying but what i see is one team that wants to play fast and play right and do it for 60 minutes and another team that not only doesn't want to do those things but doesn't even react or adjust when it's being taken to them.

the second period of the first game was a pretty poopty effort though.

teams are going to have ebbs and flows and stuff but when it looks that one-sided for that long and there are no adjustments i just throw my hands up.

well I think you saw enough habs games to know they're not a team that got us used to a 60 min effort either... I do feel though that last game may have gotten in the flyers' heads, and possibly Hart's, so that may play in their favor, for what it's worth. bottom line is habs will have to be prepared
