I just got covid this week and it’s a bear. I’ve been knocked down hard with heavy symptoms and your lungs get wrecked. And I’m a very healthy guy in his early 30’s. I’m feeling better today, but this virus is not something to not be concerned with.

I haven’t even begun looking at what potential long term effects this might have on my lungs or heart or anything else.

- TheDrumonMadison

Hang in there, Drummer. Best wishes to good health and safety to you and your family.

Same to the rest of you on these boards.

Who's ceiling is higher? Demko or DiPietro?
- LAHawk

I dont think either looks like a NHL workhorse starter.

Demko is a bit bigger but so far hasn't looked in anyway on an upward projectory, it is a pretty good Vancouver team he has been fortunate to play in front of that might be why he has the success he has had?

You will be in my thoughts, and hopefully the minds of the economy first thinkers who cannot see past the "acceptable casualties" concept during this period in the world's health.

Thanks guys, I’m getting better...

I just don’t think anyone should brush off covid or judge others worrying about it after my experience with it. I can very easily see how it overtakes those more vulnerable once you feel how it can attack your lungs. Glad I got hawks hockey to watch while in isolation.

That said, let’s go hawks!!!!

Rask made a tough decision but I would say he didn't do it to bail on his team or snub them. Doesn't seem like he is doing it to hide from Covid, as he is probably safer inside the bubble than outside. Takes a strong will and a lot of courage to make an unpopular decision like he did. It's one of those choices that me, you or anyone can't really make for him in terms of what is best for his family situation. While you'd love to see the guy playing, I think he should be respected for putting him family first, which he is obviously doing.

If you are still running around in fear over Covid, you have your head in your ass.

Rask and every NHLer and anyone under 50 has a better chance of dying playing hockey then the virus.

Odds grow exponentially as you move the age chart lower.

Elite Rask is a selfish team mate. While the conditions can be frustrating, they are doing their JOB. So set and example, suck it up, and do your job. How many of us have worked real hard physical jobs and bad conditions?

He is like Randall "Pink" Floyd bailing on his team in Dazed and Confused. It is not about you, it is about us.

- TrueGrit

You continue to be an asshat. I lost a Co-worker in his miid 30s in May Went into the hospital at the end of March, on a vent for 40 days, then he died. My boss lost both his brother and brother—in-law.

Yes, age is directly correlated with death rate. But that doesn’t mean that anyone under 30 is immune.

I personally agree BUT we have to respect the personal values of others. These athletes make so much money. They are given opt out and while I believe it is unfair to opt out for the sake of teamattes ownership and fans, it is understandable.

As for the covid, I believe a greater number of positive cases has switched and will continue to show up in larger # in minority and or poor areas of a community. Unsupervised young children are part of it. Do not expect much lower amount of cases even should Biden win. The governors have a lot to do with it all. There is plenty of screening; you are always going to have difficulties getting the poor and homeless to go. Once an innoculation arrives that works, the covid after a year or so will go (for the most part)away. As for those who refuse to wear masks, they endanger not just themselves but everyone. So just do your part and wait for an innoculation.

There is a list of foods that have a higher ph balance or whatever it is called. They overtake or prevent the virus from getting to your lungs. I would believe these foods are good even if you are past the initial stage of covid - which you are. The list was published by a medical group or US Deot Heakth (I forget whom). It can probably be found with Google search. I will look for it later today. Just now saw your post. My thoughts are with you too. I would stay positive no matter what and thankful for everything I do have if this was my situation. Your odds of beating it should be very good. Lingering effect possible but hopefully that is a shirtbtetm

so sorry to hear...take care and get well quickly. covid is asymetric across the board...most of the young and healthy get through it without symptons or very mild illness...but as you are an example of...it hits others very hard...

Very true I lost a co-worker who just barely turned 40 and was in decent shape.

I think they scored 1st goal once in 6 games.

This is the key here. The Hawks need to get the lead, and learn to play with it. It's one thing to come back against Edmonton with crappy defense and goaltending, but against a much better structure in Vegas, you just don't want to play from behind, your chances are slim at a comeback.

Get the lead, and keep it. They do that, they can win this game tonight.

My guess is Boqvist is back this game for Carlsson. Colliton hinted at Boqvist's return.

If #27 is back, will be interesting how much more aggressive he is and whether he can play "less scared".

I thought the beauty of this players - owners agreement was the very fact that there was going to be support for those who opted out with no backlash.
I think that this has ALL we have seen, support foreach other and the game as they continue on.
Too bad you are the bad teammate here, Grit

A sick kid you don't know the entire story about might be a story no one is telling, you'd have support for that, right?

Golden Knights announce Paul Stastny and Tomas Nosek are “unfit” and will not play in Game 3 tonight.

Marc-Andre Fleury is also starting, not Robin Lehner.

-----

Man, I hate that they cannot say "injury" if that is what it is. I get it, but now I have to worry that they may have exposed our guys to COVID if that's what it is. Given the lack of any positive tests, I doubt it is, but...
