I dunno. I was just joshing around. I am staying put, of course. Its my team, so obviously there is an emotional commitment to it too.

Having said that, I think I will say that Vegas and Avs look way more impressive than any EC team I have seen so far.

oh for sure. i'm lucky enough to have my emotional commitment cut the other way. id put that 200 in a blender if it meant they lost the next three.

yeah, vegas looks tough. boston/carolina winner will be tough too. i just dont see the capitals having it this year.

The series is 1-1 guy. How many pats on the backs can one team get for winning one hockey game?

Haven't backread but I'm positive Ghost is taking the brunt of the heat. Meanwhile, our top 6 and Niskanen have been no shows.

But yeah, this was all on Ghost.

If you didn’t back read, you’d know the entire team is being put through a wood chipper.

I was impressed by the Avs too. In the first game against the Coyotes, the game was tied forever. But they kept working, broke through, and scored 3. In today's game, it was tied 2-2 forever, but same story. That looks like a team that has the killer mentality.

Vegas is playing a satiated team that has lost its hunger, like your team, so I dunno about them. But its scary that they are 5-0 w/ Pacioretty mostly out.

Well that was fun. Fun in an anesthesia free root canal while passing a massive kidney stone kind of way.

Game 3 will say a lot about this team. They better show up - big time.

That’s basically it. No use in get all worked ok up over one game. They won 13 of their last 15 and the coach is a Jack Adams finalist. If they blow the series I’ll worry about it when it happens. Until then I’m gonna root for them to be the team we’ve seen most of this season.

If they hadn’t been so epically bad it would be easier to let this one go...but, geez that was really bad

No denying that. They’re a lot better than this loss.

I can tell you that Farabee almost lost his pair on that late crotch hook by Tatar. The kid was really hurting from that cheap shot. I was disappointed at the lack of response by the team. Same with the Domi play. When it’s 5-0 you just don’t skate away from that stuff.

They are. But the warning signs were there in Game 1. It felt like foreshadowing. The Flyers are good, but the glaring differences in playing speed were obvious. Not sure how to change that. Flyers have looked slow and tired. I fear they are in deep deep trouble.

And then they have to contend with Price actually looking like the goalie he’s hyped to be.

I wouldn’t say I’m there. But I was concerned after Game 1. After Game 2 and their playing speed was even worse, the system is blinking red.

I completely agree with you Djapana. That was as blatant as can be. And Farabee is a kid and small guy. I was also disappointed that they did not try harder to spoil the shutout.

At some point, you need to start playing for the next game in a playoff series. You don't just say ok, its over, and its another team another day like the regular season. The Habs taunted us, got away with it, and for sure, expect that to continue with our pedestrian pp.

AV was clearly trying to provoke the team with the comment about the first pp of the Habs. There is nothing wrong with that. But he was trying to provoke an emotional response. Lets see if that worked Sunday.

I'm pretty sure the "stones" that Olivier was inquiring about weren't passed by any kidney.

I wasn't concerned after game 1 because of how they responded and came back in the 3rd period and just shut the game down. I thought that AV had pushed the right buttons and got them straightened out. Didn't really see that today. Yea, they got some shots but didn't threaten much. The most concerning thing about today's game is that there wasn't much response from the veterans and top players. Nothing from Couturier, Giroux or Voracek. Niskanen and Hayes look completely lost.

Not too worried. Playoffs are a bumpy road. That said the higher paid players on this team need to elevate their game.

Well said. I mean, yeah, they should be able to bounce back. I would think they would. But Montreal looks like they are prepared to play playoff hockey and the Flyers are looking to find their compete level.

We will know by the end of the first 30 mins on Sunday.

In 2012, Flyers were heavily favored against the Devils. They won the first game but it was a lot closer than we expected, and they gave us fits.

In the second game, Flyers simply could not handle the way the Debs played. It was a lopsided loss.

Sound familiar so far?

Do I think this will happen this series? No, I do not. But if the same thing happens in the first 30 mins, Habs in 5 or 6 max.

I blame this all on the Pens for not doing their job and knocking out the Habs!

Of course, unless I'm mistaken, and everything else being the same, the Flyers would be facing the BJs if the Pens advanced instead of the Habs. I can see the same type of result against the BJs if none of the big guns on the Flyers show up to produce.

I hope this was their wake-up call to find it PDQ.
