Too much arrogance & entitlement. Accountability is for the captain to do & demand. JT was flowery & evasive. Reilly for captain. He’s legit & honest. - Nighthawk
How many times did we watch JT just give the puck away? Don't care for him. |

That is an ok trade. Would Willy buy in or be in Torts doghouse? - Nighthawk
You would expect with Nylander in CLB he would have to play that game. He would be surrounded with players buying in. Product of the environment.
Exactly the problem in Leaf land. We have too many of those skilled/floater guys, happened the same during the Kessel era...except we have much more talent now.
You MUST surround them with heart and grit players. Then they are more compelled to play within that system. JMHO.
(Also why I'm not a fan of Dubas, seems like he thinks he can change the game of hockey to non contact skill game while other teams still actually hit and fight and grind. )
Leafs for the CUP 2050 when NHL bans contact, hard forechecking and net front shenanigans. |

He traded for Hyman, Muzzin, and Clifford... There needs to be more of that, especially on D, but still... |

Clifford gets so little ice time. They never put him in to protect their stars for a few shifts. They need more old school philosophy. |

Reilly certainly has a better perspective and along with Muzzin were the only two guys who took responsibility for the loss. We need Buff to come in and throw people's fancy fashion statement clothes in the shower. - aminnes
They were the only 2 that weren’t clueless or selling bs. |

Ask CBJ - Garnie
I'll take the better O over the better D 51 times out of 100. The initiatives carries with it an advantage.
Switch goalies in the series against Columbus, or the last two vs. Boston, and the Leafs win.

I wanted the Canucks to sign him. Good thing we didn’t given RFA contracts coming up. I was wrong big time. He’s overrated & winners get 11m & he is not. |

The only way to protect your star players is to go after the other teams when they go after yours. Mutually assured destruction.

I doubt it, maybe, we may have had more shots on net but very few of quality. We did get some bad luck like the JT post but for the most we made it easy for their tender. |

Good post. Leafs are coach killers. Never liked Babcock but he was right to win you gotta play the right way. It cost him his job. Keefe looked frustrated the same message doesn't sink in. That goes onto JT not being a true leader as captain. Some others hide behind that also. |

Do I need to explain why you don't trade a 24 year 1st line winger old locked up long term for that? |
