Andersen is a super valuable contract. A proven starter that can play 60 games for 1 million? Ya they will have no problem moving him and they will get food value back.
People need to understand that most teams won’t be able to spend to the flat cap this season. Actual salary is the number most teams will be abiding to.

Having Andersen at 1 million real bucks for one season is a damn good situation for them. Helps transition jarry instead of throwing him right to the starter fire with a cone for a backup.

While everyone obessess over "cap hits" it's the players who make significantly less $$$ than their cap hits who are very valuable.

That's only true as it relates to a subset of teams - the financial basket cases. I think you can make a stronger case about Nylander that there's good Cap value and low, actual $ cost.

In the first case, you're goalie sucks.
In the second, he kind of sucks but there's something you can do about it. Tie up sticks, get there first.

You can sign Murray to a 4-4.5x2/3 year deal.
Maybe even cheaper due to the flat cap.
I just want a goalie who has shown he can do it and not falter in big games...Freddy is 31 and hasn't showed us that, he gets the door.
