Probably what happens. Hughes didn’t have sheltered minutes & the cast Makar had. Hughes made the team better & highest scoring rookie D since Leetch & Orr. Imagine if it went 82 games.

That’s fine, if we can trade Willie + and keep Marner get the same D back I’d do that all day every day. Marner brings more IMO, even though he didn’t have a great year.

If the Leafs traded for Ekblad I wouldn't lose my poop. I would prefer to go another direction based him having his own defensive issues + being one hit away from having to play out of a wheelchair covered in drool.
