They definitely looking good.
I wonder how they'd fare against a tight checking CBJ type team?

Why is Lehner in net over Flower?

I believe Lehner hasn't lost yet since being acquired by Vegas. Hard not to ride the hot hand.

Also, he has good knowledge of the Blackhawks, and maybe a little desire for revenge, after they traded him at the deadline instead of giving him a contract extension.

Chicago has come back with 2 goals in this period, though. If the Blackhawks can win this game, that changes things significantly.

I heard today TO are after Keslers contract to utilize LTIR for more cap space.

They’ve done this twice already I think; Nathan Horton and David Clarkson.

Or was it Brent Seabrook?

They still have Horton and Clarkson through the end of this season, then they become UFAs according to cap friendly

I haven't been following VGK's. Good to know.
I agree that the Hawks are an experienced team and could give the Knights a good run.

Edit: VGK up 2-0

Hard to bet against them.

I think if we win so do VGK AV’s & Dallas we get VGK.
We need Flames to win if we move on it’s the AV’s.
In the the case of the latter I’m fine with the AV’s.
Less bruising than the Blues & a huge measuring stick.

Be nice if the AV’s knocked out VGK

Sea biscuit is still a Hawk I think. They traded Clarkson (who was a bust, but still might play again, and who’s contract was insured) for Horton (who was never going to play again, and who’s contract wasn’t insured). I don’t get how they gain “extra cap space”. Either player goes on LTIR the cap still counts towards the total, it’s just that they are allowed to exceed the cap by the amount of that contract. There’s literally no gain.

Seabrook is a Hawk.
Clarkson LTIR is done.
Horton LTIR is done.
Exceed the cap by 10% in the offseason

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything. Yes, I know those contracts are done, BM asked a question...

The measure is one series at a time but they look solid in this one. So much so that IF the Canucks were to move on playing the Avs might be better for them. So can't believe I'm saying this but would be nice for the FLAMES to beat the Stars.

How does going over the cap by 10% in the summer have anything to do with having more cap space during a season because you have players on LTIR? Explain it to me like I’m you.
