If the Canucks can continue to score 3+ goals per game they will win the series. I don’t think they can win a 1-0 or 2-1 type game though. It could come down to depth, Myers likely out at least a game, if any of the other regular D get hurt...

The other side of the coin is Blues say we have thrown everything at them and it is not enough. I do think if our best continue the pace we will win two of the next four. We have battled the Blues hard all year.

Should be fun finding out. The feeling I have right now is similar to the Detroit series back in the Cloutier beach ball from center ice days. Leading 2-0 against a team that’s supposed to be better. The long time Canuck fan in me is waiting for the collapse:

If I could change one thing with the Canucks game right now it would be reducing the unnecessary penalties. Got to stay out of the box. Other than that I can’t see a whole lot more the Canucks can do better. Love the fact that the 2nd line is producing like they are.

Losing Myers is a big hole to fill. Relying too much on Edler is going to cause problems.

I think Benn can step in. I hope any ways. I really think Canucks in the off season and going forward have to get better on the D

For those thinking we need to ice a RHD, remember that Benn plays better on the right side.

Apparent shoulder injury. Turned to (try to) avoid hit and slid into the end boards. Wasn’t really a hard hit, just awkward.

I don’t think he is available for game 3 - testing/practice etc. not 100% though.

I think he’s in quarantine, can’t play until that’s finished?

That’s what refs do. The skate around and stand in place, watching legal body checks and doing nothing about them.

100%. Just like to see one of the centres built like Keith Primeau. Obviously those centres are really rare but just like to see a bit more size in that position.

Peter Forsberg and Eric Lindros....could you imagine if the Flyers wouldn’t have traded him in “the deal”.

As it turned out, Sakic and Forsberg turned out pretty ok #2Cups

lol

wow prices are up pretty big at certain wineries in West Kelowna. Tried to buy a bottle of Summit at Boucherie and what was $27-35 bucks last year is now $65 Have to pay for the new facility I guess lol. Quails wines were so-so and the Frind wines were not good but the beach viewing area was gorgeous. Little Straw was closed which sucked very limited hours but honestly the best tasting we had was at Rollingdale where the wines are full organic? Their Merlot and Cab are really coming around and the Pinot Gris was outstanding. All in all a good trip.

Myers one was just an awkward play, Sutter one is still a penalty

That was a Clarke trade wasn’t it? Clarke deserves all the bad karma he receives.

IMO, the thing that differentiated Foppa from other centres of his size/stature was his aggression. He was a pit bull. He was essentially the same size as Näslund but his attitude made him seem bigger than he was. Phenomenal player.

Yeah, probably, but I’m not loosing sleep of the officiating. It was a pretty normal playoff game. I thought the Blues carried the play for the second and third, forcing the Canucks to take more penalties. The difference with this team (so far) is that they make you pay for making mistakes.

Just looked up to see if their size was that different (only 10 lbs heavier for Forsberg), but found out they were born within 10 days of each other.

I said it yesterday, but I think that teams that have a reputation as a "heavy" hockey team that plays "aggressive" gets more leniency when it comes to certain penalties. There's a lot of borderline charges out there, but since STL do it so often it's just par the course for them.

The refs were not good – basically the O'Reilly PP goal and the Edler giveaway goal should not have happened – but the Canucks came out with a W.

Canucks needs to play better 5 on 5 if they're going to win... both to keep the pressure off Marky/the D, and to draw more penalties to capitalize on.
