2-1 Jackets

So what’s the deal with Vasilevskiy? Wasn’t he suppose to be the next big thing, which is why Tampa could afford giving up Bishop? Was Bishop the guy, the last time Tampa was able to go on a deep run?

- SuperSchennBros

BJ tough bastards! Coming back from a enormous 5 OT loss. Struggled early on. But they just got better as the game rolled on.

Just saw that they won wow. Tampa has their hands full. As hard as Montreal is I want no part of cbj

Much respect for Torts and the Jackets. TB wasn t very interested in getting to the net today. They ve played more hockey then any team since the restart. How full will the tank be if they get to the semis?

Accidentally flagged this post. 😬

He has been playing out of his mind. I never really thought much of him but man is he on fire right now.

- hereticpride

He was when we played them. And we absolutely made him look like a minor league goaltender. He over commits a lot. And goes into scramble when bodies flock the net. Tampa isn't getting to him enough.

The isles were more impressive and scarier to me. Id gladly take columbus or the canes before the isles.

Trots is a terrific coach. I believe Varly is a more stable goalie then Mrazek. The Bergeron goal in OT, Mrazek was way out of position. If the Flyers advance I would rather face the Jackets or Canes before the Isles also.

Yeah. I’d take on the canes as hart could put play mrazek imo. I don’t see them beating Boston however. We’re going have a tough road regardless if we advance. I’m still very scared of Tampa and Boston. I think we can take the others

I would be surprised if they took jvr. While hes a good player and might be one the best scorers available i look at our young D and cant imagine they can make it past them. Especially if ghost is healthy. Sanheim myers provorov is still who you protect on D. For forwards coots giroux tk hayes laughton lindblom and then what ? Patrick ? Jvr ? Jake? Nak ? Grant? (if re signed).

Since he played this year and if he starts next, would farabee be eligible. Don’t remember all the exemptions.

That’s all well and good. JvR does have to play the same style no matter what line he’s on but who he plays with does matter.

I think Boston s blue line is better, but Tampa is deeper up front. I would rather face Tampa because after Hedman and Sergachev, not really impressed with the rest. McDonaugh is decent, but I think he can get exploited. After Tampa s top 6, pretty sure Coburn and Luke Schenn are next.

General rule of thumb is if theyre on an elc they don't need to be protected was how I took it. So farabee is still good.

The Canes are really nice, deep, and balanced at forward. If they beat Boston, that means those guys are on point, and Mrazek is red hot. They already have a top defense. Pass.

Even though the BJ’s are playing great, if still rank in order of the teams listed that I’d like to see -

You owe me $10. Why don’t you let the guy that’s nominated for coach of the year set the lines and you give your keyboard a rest.

Sean Couturier sure was dominate with his couple of hits last night

How can anyone who claims to know anything about hockey, actually say this about last night’s game?

Bills recap also stated coots had a good game minus the face-off circle where he struggled in the first and second. Do you also disagree with Bill? You get a lot of unnecessary flack on here. And I won't be that guy I respect a lot of your opinions. But bill also commented coots and the first line overall had a solid game.

Nobody said Sean Couturier had a bad game. Saying he had a dominant game is a stupid take.

Oh, you’ll buy me a dictionary if JvR gets better linemates? You definitely stung me here.

I’ll wait on your definition of the word dominant. I think I’ve been using it wrong my entire life.

Giroux and Couturier didn’t have great games tonight. They were hanging on like everyone else.

Thanks for this. You mind me running all the way into the last blog and finding your explanation of what a dominating game.

And you know what, I did say this and I don’t care what some reporter says. Top line does need to be better at even strength and they’ve needed to be better since we’ve returned to hockey.

The Couturier line played well and won the shot metrics battle and controlled play. However, in the playoffs and to win the Cup, you need more than that from your top line. They didn't generate enough quality looks and grade A chances. Didn't get the puck to the net enough. They need to be better.
