I'm not sure it was a "bad pass" from Chiarot. He's trying to clear the puck along the boards (pretty standard play), but Byron doesn't anticipate or is out of position and misses the puck which goes to the Flyers player at the point. That and Kulak doesn't cover his guy.

i only saw it live and then a few replays but i thought carey was maybe just sliding to the right to stop the initial puck but then farabee deflected it down and a little left at his feet so he had to make a quick reaction save on that and it's tough to control a rebound when all that happens so fast.

of course i may be biased because i like carey but i feel like i'd see it the same way no matter who i was watching.

it all happened so fast. and hockey is so flukey it's hard to know exactly who to blame on every bad play and sometimes it really isn't anybody's fault in particular, or it's more than just one guy's fault. me being a goalie, i see that there was a man left all alone in front and that's what would stick out most to me but again i may just be biased.
