Trade.... 2021 2nd pick/liljegren/kerfoot and johnson -----to buffalo for ristolainen a 3rd and buff retains 2.2 mil cap space

Trade 2021 1st /nylander/kapanen and sandin-----To Minnesota for 2nd/Dumba/eric staal plus minnesota retains 2mil cap on dumba

Sign Taylor Hall for 7.5 to 8 mil per year for 3 years (due to cap freeze/short term dealswill be common)

Sign Dereck brassard for 2mil.

lineups now would be .....

Tavares/mathews/marner........rielly/dumba

hyman/staal/hall..........muzzin/ristolainen

ilya mykheyev/brassard/robertson.....lehtonen/dermott

clifford/spezza/engval

estimated new cap[ total approx. 81 mil.

this will give you veteran pressence up the middle and grittier forwards and a bigger threat from the point on the pp plus risto can hit as well

I’ve stated I’m no Leafs fan many times doesn’t mean I cannot banter with good hockey fans. Growing up in sports it was be a good sport when losing & show some class when winning.

Game 1 in the books & no visitors over there as of yet. Not unusual given game times.

i think people are okay with Matthews, its Marner that is the problem in terms of Cap hit versus value in the playoffs. Also, he said in the clean out day press conf. that he's not going to change anything. lols... this guy didn't do anything in the playoffs and makes 3 or 4 times as much as other guys on the team and he thinks its okay to not be a difference maker in the qualification to get into the playoffs. mind boggling.
