I'm optimistic that Adams is smart enough to realize he's not the best talent evaluator in the room and that he hires some intelligent, progressive people to help him.

Nah, it's not.

They should have done this years ago. Listening to the fans for a material product the fans are going to purchase is exactly what they should have done.

It will certainly bring in an influx of cash, no doubt, but it wasn't some veiled move to install a bigger engine on the yacht.

Providing a universally praised jersey to a fanbase clamoring for it for years is what I would call goodwill and, god forbid, listening.

I have seen the good things they have done for Buffalo and OP, but they need a buffer between them and there Hockey Team. And they had a decent chance for that, and they blew it. It actually might surprise them what money they could make when they play a few rnds of playoff hockey.

Dude, it doesn't (frank)ing matter what we said. It's beyond insignificant. If he's reading Hockeybuzz to make his hires and trades, he should be fired into the (frank)ing sun. For Christ sakes. He signed off. If an engineer signs a set of plans and that design fails, it's on the engineer.

1- Hire a president. A real, experienced, Bona fide, President

2- set the budget and expectations.

3- sit in the owner suite or on the yacht and watch your team.

4- profit or break even at least...

So you didn't want them steeping in and making sure Jack eichel and Skinner are signed long term ....

Just imagine Jack eichel being an RFA this year think about it
