Of course you couldn't. How could you, given that you can't think?

Oh snap... you're bringing your A game eh? That's the good stuff right there... or at least what you would expect from a country that ranks 37th in education! But it's not all bad, you're #1 with a bullet when it comes to obesity

It was kind of interesting the dude/dudette said he is pro Habs and has nothing to do with Quebec.

It would be like me saying I am pro Cowboys and have nothing to do with Texas.

Those teams have historically embodied the region they are based in.

People do move around you know... just last year I sold my igloo in Montreal and made my way to Ontario... those are Provinces by the way, not new McDonald's sandwiches

Shots in the Boston/Carolina game after two periods. Boston 21, Carolina 9. Sheesh.

If the Bruins-Canes goes OT.....good chance Flyers aren't dropping the puck at 8 pm.

Starting to think the bruins tanked the RR. They are absolutely dominating this game despite the scoreboard reading 3-2.

What is with these Pastrnak commercials where he constantly talks about how often he is in the penalty box?

Most pms he ever had was 40.

Tanked is probably the wrong term. They do seem more engaged in this game. Maybe they just cruised to the playoffs. They didn't have a lot to prove. Maybe the focus wasn't there.

Is it a tough opponent when you've dominated them for 2 straight seasons ?

They have a bad record vs the isles, pens, and jackets. Canes was their best match up. Meanwhile they dodged tampa in round 2 barring an upset.

That I could get behind. Even AV treated it like an extended preseason. Using different goalies and lineups.

Fair. Cruise controlled through the RR. Despite a few breakdowns and the canes few minute surges they've controlled it.

Bill posted that tidbit that Canadiens are among the best in generating high danger (HD)scoring chances and in expected goal differential.

I did some some digging. Not only are they what Bill mentioned, but they actually are also among the best in getting shots off from those HD areas. Likewise, they are among the best in generating medium danger (MD) scoring chances, and also in getting shots off from the MD areas. In all these categories, they are better than the Flyers.

However, when you look at actual goals scored from those two areas, Flyers are significantly better in each. This fact is confirmed when you look at some overall Stats. Flyers are 4th in converting goals from shots. Montreal is 25th. If you look at Actual Goals for versus Expected Goals for (the latter subtracted from the former) in 5-0n-5 play, the Flyers are about +13, the Canadiens are -18.

This likely means Montreal is not a perimeter team. They will go to the net. But they likely lack play-makers who can create open chances for their teammates, or they lack snipers, or both.
