I think we were lucky to win that. I’m not shocked by this. There are no blowouts in the reg season let alone playoffs.

Exactly... Was worst 60 min effort since Jan but they still won and dominated 3rd period. Hart stole win. Perfect video for AV to coach up.

They did look better in the third. The pp was decent and then went into the shell to protect the lead. Price made a lot of great saves too to keep it closer. And Thompson. Are you a sleeper spy for the habs?? Wtf bro

They were way more north/south. They showed that they have some speed too. They grinded and put pucks on the net. That’s what has got them here.

These fancy pirouettes, behind the back passes for goals worked in the round robin as nothing much was on the line. It was obvious the Habs were at playoff speed.

I was very impressed by the turnaround in style from second to 3rd.

As for JVR, he is who he always has been. A highly skilled very dangerous player who will not do much to utiltize his skills. I dont get the aversion to playing him on that brain dead pp.

The habs play a fast effort driven no nonsense game. Flyers weren’t at their best. Bottom line though, the Flyers didn’t do a ton of good, but they didn’t do a ton of bad. That’s enough against a team with this low of a talent level. Just don’t shoot your self in the foot and even at not top level, you’ll go through it.

Flyers didn t play, give Habs some credit though. The Flyers could of easily had 3 more on the board, the Price save was ridiculous. The Thompson flub and then the Weber save with the open net.

Considering this was the 2nd pair D first playoff game, a good W.

It's the playoffs, it's not supposed to be easy. Montreal is a team that plays with pace and determination. They skate hard and play with max effort. You have to match that. Montreal just lacks talent. They are weak at center. If the Flyers play their game and match the effort, they will win the series. They lost their way in the 2nd period but AV got them back on track for the 3rd. Montreal is not as good as the Flyers are but they aren't going to go away easy.

It’s playoff hockey , there will be Ups and downs, we had a couple yawning cages we missed. Not our best game but we were the better team and carried majority of the play. Have that second period against the bruins or lightning and you could find yourself down a few goals. Clean it up and keep going.

Ton of credit to the Habs. I’m not going to say whether they played well or didn’t, haven’t seen them enough. But I know the Flyers played pretty poorly and still won. I’ll take whatever that means.

JVR had 1:54 of ice time on the PP. The PP was much better tonight. They scored a goal and had a lot of good looks at the net, especially on that 4 on 3 sequence.
