Marner has to go. I know it’s selling low but the Matthew WINdow is 1 more season closer to closing. The leafs have failed to adequately address the defence in order to support the young offensive fire power, now over paid based off of regular season flare. This was avoidable if assets were used to shore up the defensive position but the hubris brought on by such a short turn around led to the giddy optimism of “own rentals”.
This team needs a partner for Rielly and some more size along the boards. If you don’t score at least take a bite out of someone. The qualifying series demonstrated that its about the accumulation of effort more then magic for 4 minutes that wins in playoff hockey.
Florida, LA, Minny and Columbus are desperate for star power and could handle the silly contract attached to Mitch. If a significant D was coming back the other way Dermott might be needed to make it work.
Hypothetical returns
Ekblad, tippet
Dumba, Fiala/greenway(Both if you toss in mango)
Savard, Bjorkstrand/stenlund
Walker/Roy, kempe, prohorkin

For all you nooks saying this was a 'disabled kid':
Crump, who is representing the family of Floyd, the Black man who died on May 25 after a white Minnesota police officer knelt on his neck for eight minutes, said the boy suffers from several psychiatric conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiance disorder and adjustment disorder with mixed disturbance of emotional conduct

And absolutely no family obligations.
Guys always talk about juggling parenting duties, fielding requests for tix, etc.
This year, play hockey, shower, three minutes later you are at hotel. All meals are two minutes away. Then back to bed.
Remember how well the Soviet Red Army team played?
Same model. |

"ADHD and Oppositional Defiance Disorder are basically just outcomes of bad parenting"
For reasoning I won't take up an entire page on hockeybuzz over (because 99% of people who aren't complete (frank)ing idiots will know anyways), this is genuinely... Legitimately... One of the single (frank)ing stupidest statements I have ever read in my entire (frank)ing life...
A child psychiatrist would (frank)ing barf in their mouth reading that. - joel878
We were told my son was on the spectrum. His speech pathologist felt he should be medicated. He was way behind other kids physically, emotionally and mentally and has difficulty with language, which makes all other learning more difficult.
Spending the first six months of your life in a hospital because there were no spaces in orphanages, and then 2+ years in an orphanage messes a kid up.
We chose not to medicate or hold him back a year. Instead we worked with him, and decided to wait and see.
He is now about to turn 14 and start high school. He is mostly an average student. Still way behind physically and emotionally but he is really coming into his own.
Sometimes kids need love, and a chance. Disorders on the spectrum are a real thing. Sometimes meds really are necessary and sometimes more serious intervention and help is necessary. Parenting is only one of many factors. Segregating most of these kids would only lead to worse outcomes. |

I get it from your past comments you have some personal/family relation to mental illness.
There is a difference between actual mental illnesses and these conditions which are basically outcomes of bad parenting. - MaximusAurelius
My son who was diagnosed with ADHD, just graduated from law school. Before he was diagnosed and understood that he wasn’t stupid and that there were specific ways of working to help alleviate the effects of his condition at school, he was often frustrated.
Neither of us know what as going on with this kid when the school (frank)ed up. Only one of us is pretending.

Because Miami police detectives Crockett and Tubbs uncovered a sports fixing ring, and advised him to move to Canada. |

I'm not denying ADHD exists.
I'm saying it is heavily overdiagnosed (no MRI) as an 'excuse' for bad behaviour.
True ADHD is significantly correlated to bad parenting (drug abuse and smoking during pregnancy) - Richard Schwaab a well known neurologist reported on this.
In this specific case - what friend CanadaCup did not mention:
Sources close to the investigation said the boy’s father, who is not married to Digennaro, went to the school that day and asked the officers to scare his son as a way to improve his behavior. Asked by two reporters about this Tuesday, Crump said he did not know, and that it was irrelevant either way. - MaximusAurelius
I've said it 100 times. You clearly don't have kids and never should. You are probably the most ignorant waste of skin I have ever seen post on this site, even UG and the like have enough self awareness to not make such idiotic bold statements about certain things...
I don't know why you think this is the forum to share your moronic takes, but it isn't. There's got to be a reddit out there for that, so (frank) off and take it there.
Thats the nicest way I can't put it, and I've put a ton of effort into it to get it that far. From a parent of a household who has lived it for many years, and seen the impact on both children and parents alike... You and your google research are irrelevant. (frank) off, i have zero patience for you or your poop. None. |
