I would have loved a healthy Ferland. I think that is an important player to replace next year . Zack Jake or Roussel might be Ferland lite but not quite the instigator banger that Canucks wanted.
If Rangers don't select Lafreniere they would be silly to trade for another draft pick. They could fill 3 to 4 positions with some good young players. I would look at Ottawa's prospects.

No reason to think byfield slips below 2. Vantel is right though, might as well talk to LA. Not going to lie, LA will be prettt happy taking either guy imo.

Interesting tidbit: the #Canucks and #stlblues had the 4th and 3rd best power plays in the league during the regular season respectively. However, in their three head-to-head meetings, the two teams went a combined 0-for-21 on the man advantage.

I don't know if the Blues are that. I would be very very surprised to see them repeat. They had a miracle year last year . I pointed out they were in last place at the turn of the new year.

Why? That’s drysdale and stutzle or byfield. You’re getting two top5 picks. Either or both could be better that laffy. Brannstrom is also one of the top prospects outside the nhl. So, top prospect two top5 picks and a second for Lafreniere. Imo gorten should get a lifetime contract if he can find that value.

The last time a first was traded was the Sedin draft. It will cost a boatload to get the first O/A.
If someone comes to Gorton with a huge offer the first could be moved. If you come with half assed offers Lafreniere will be a Ranger.
