Good game, overall. Disappointing, but lots of positives. Lots of video to watch, too, though.

True but that game was there for the taking. It was a missed opportunity.

Well...that post by Suzuki... my heart nearly stopped... we need more shots and to bury our chances but at least, we can clearly hang with them. This is gonna be heck of a battle.

yeah, you're not wrong about that, but at least the team can keep their heads up knowing they can hang in there and show a decent effort

I like that meme but the way he does it in that commercial is a little creepy.

Both teams had their moments in the offensive zone, both teams should have had at least 1-2 more goals, the winning goal coming on a total (frank)ed up mental breakdown.

Game played out like expected - good chances, good goaltending, low scoring game.

i don't think a can hear this sentence even once more: the ouellet-mete pairing is on the ice. i mean there is no way that Fleury is not better than ouellet. also, in his first year mete was at least a capable fast skating nhl defenseman. now he looses every puck battle and turns the puck over even before he touches it.

Indeed. But our D needs to pick it up beyond Weber and Petry, who were great overall. The 3rd pairing seemed lost.

yeah, we can play with them no problem.

a few things though,
play 60 minutes, they were not there in the first.
if you expect kk to produce, scratch both Drouin and Armia
dmen need to jump in on the offense,
danault's line was out best again tonight,
no penallties please, at 5x5 we're better than them, like againts PIT
Price needs to be square to the puck, not carried out of his net like on the 2nd goal

I am not a fan of this pairing, but at least they are not getting gang-(frank)ed every shift the way JJ and Schultz were for the Pens. Yeah, maybe Fleury or Juulsen might be better, but I am not sure how much better TBH.

Habs need a bit more jam, like they had in the last 10 mins. Great hit by Petry on Koneky. They have to draw more than just getting mugged. They can match Philly in that dept. and they don't have to flop to do it.

you could argue your last point isn't totally fair, as I think we can cut the guy a bit of slack...
