OK, Max, I'll explain it to you:
In the state of Florida, you have a lot of ignoramuses who were brainwashed by Ronald Reagan into thinking that the government was the enemy of the people, and that less taxes meant greater prosperity.
Despite the fact that every single franking economist without a pre-determined agenda will tell you this is false, the myth persists.
So Florida schools have less resources (i.e., money) to expand programs and deal with special needs kids. No educators want them in regular classrooms, but they literally have nowhere else to put them (as they don't have social workers in schools, special needs classes, etc.).
"Why not expel the 6, 7, 8 year olds?" you ask?
Well, great idea Max. And then what happens?
You can send them to another school, I guess, but that's actually making the problem worse.
"Make the parents home school the kid!" Yeah, that's an even dumber idea.
As a society, not having the kid in a classroom is a ticking time bomb.
The easy solution is to raise taxes, so that schools have the resources they need.
But Florida, so that isn't happening.
Your move, Max. - Atomic Wedgie
Get them to special schools where there special needs can be attended properly - but rest of the kids of the class should not suffer from a bad mannered kids.
And there is a difference between 'special kids' and kids that didn't receive any education from their parents and have 0 manners.
We should try to help the kids with difficulties for sure - but let's make sure the other kids receive proper attention as well.
Again - charter schools do much much better with kids that were tagged 'special needs' kids by US public schools - just because there is a whole system and subsidized service industry created around this - including a bonus system for referrals.
Kids that don't know how to properly behave and have a bad influence on quality of education of other kids should be taken out of the group for sure.

Yep, that's exactly what should be done...
Put them at the back of the bus.
Lets start this crap all over again. |

I thought about responding but you just can’t reason with people like that.
It’s tough knowing there are people out there with the mindset he has.
Makes me pretty angry actually. |

Drink some more soy milkshakes.
90percent of kids should suffer because of bad parents of 10percent of the rest - that's your world view. |

I thought this guy doesn't deserve a response, and stupid me did it anyway.
And do you know what? He never deserves a response.
Somehow he always gets one. |

Except every team is franked. 19 teams this year had less than $2M in cap space.
And at the end of the day, I'd rather be a team with no cap space but money and creativity to make it less of a problem than be a team with no cap space and/or huge pressures to reduce payroll. - Atomic Wedgie
Not to mention, the Leafs have no horrendous contracts. There is a pretty good chance they could move anyone on their roster without having to throw in a sweetener. |

Is it the 8 year olds fault that they're hitting teachers? Usually not unless there's a condition such as autism involved.
To me you want to give that 8 year old every opportunity to turn it around and be successful. For many kids school is an escape from home life. If that little person is going to be a member of society for 60+ years then you may as well help them be a productive one.
8 (frank)ing years old. |

Let me ask you this, have you ever been hit by an 8 year old?
What did he sneak up in the dark?
Yes that was sarcasm, but an adult should be able to diffuse that situation, pretty sure I could and have done with people a lot older than 8.

Columbus is closer to playoff shape and used to meaningful games. Tampa is going to get stronger as the series goes on.
